Deuteronomy 25 ; verse 1-3
When people have a dispute, they are to take it to court and the judges will decide the case, acquitting the innocent and condemning the guilty. 2 If the guilty person deserves to be beaten, the judge shall make them lie down and have them flogged in his presence with the number of lashes the crime deserves, 3 but the judge must not impose more than forty lashes. If the guilty party is flogged more than that, your fellow Israelite will be degraded in your eyes.
25 “اگر دو آدمیوں کے بیچ قانونی جھگڑا ہے تو انہیں عدالت میں جانا چا ہئے۔ منصف اُن کے مقدمہ کو طئے کریں گے اور بتا ئیں گے کہ کون آدمی بے قصور ہے اور کون قصور وار۔ 2 اگر قصوروار آدمی پیٹے جانے کے قابل ہے تو منصف اسے مُنہ کے بل لٹکائے گا کو ئی آدمی اسے منصف کی آنکھوں کے سامنے کو ڑا سے پیٹے گا وہ آدمی اتنی بار پیٹا جا ئے گا جتنی بار کے لئے اس کا قصور ہو گا۔ 3 کو ئی آدمی چالیس بار سے زیادہ پیٹا جاتا ہے تو اس سے یہ معلوم ہو گا کہ اس آدمی کی زندگی تمہا رے لئے اہم نہیں۔
My point of view about above verses
Maximum punishment for a crime imposed by judge is 50 lashes – if guilty person is flogged more than that – the fellow Israelite will be degraded in your eyes
God is respectful and not want us to be dishonored before Him and our fellow citizens - so we should avoid doing such actions which effect our self respect
and even punishments given by court of law / judges should be implemented in honorable way - Now it is in our hand - how we carry ourselves in our day - to day affairs
God bless kind people and He is telling us, how to be kind with other to preserve their dignity -
Our God want us to spend a joyful life on earth, only we need to follow what He says and believe me there is happiness around us - Righteous acts brings happiness for us - Lets do and enjoy life
-These are the orders given by God for our ultimate good and we all have to follow
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
