Deuteronomy 27 ; verse 9-10
Curses From Mount Ebal
9 Then Moses and the Levitical priests said to all Israel, “Be silent, Israel, and listen! You have now become the people of the Lord your God. 10 Obey the Lord your God and follow his commands and decrees that I give you today.”
لوگوں کا شریعت کی لعنت سے متفق ہونا
9 موسیٰ اور لا وی کاہنوں نے سبھی بنی اسرا ئیلیوں سے بات کی۔ اس نے کہا ، “اسرا ئیلیو ! خاموش رہو اور سنو !” آج تم لوگ خداوند اپنے خدا کے لوگ ہو گئے ہو۔ 10 اس لئے تمہیں وہ سب کچھ کرنا چا ہئے جو خداوند تمہا را خدا کہتا ہے تمہیں اس کے ان احکام اور قانون کو ماننا چا ہئے جنہیں میں آج تمہیں دے رہا ہوں۔”
My point of view about above verses
God told when you entered the land I promised to give you and have crossed Jordan – set up some large stones on Mount Ebal and coat them with plaster and write on them all the words of this law – Build an altar to the Lord – an altar of stones – don’t use any iron tool on them – and offer burnt offering on it – sacrifice fellowship offerings – eat there and rejoice in presence of your Lord your God
God want us that His laws and decrees which He gave should be before our eyes all the time so that we are inclined to implement to live a happy and joyful life
Following blessings and curses has to be pronounced from Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal respectively – by Israelites tribes
As people of God we have to be resposible for our actions - if we obey His commandments, there are blessings for us - otherwise curses
Our God wants us to spend a joyful life on earth, only we need to follow what He says and believe me there is happiness around us - Righteous acts brings happiness for us - Lets do and enjoy life
-These are the orders given by God for our ultimate good and we all have to follow
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
