Deuteronomy 29 ; verse 1-6
These are the terms of the covenant the Lord commanded Moses to make with the Israelites in Moab, in addition to the covenant he had made with them at Horeb.
2 Moses summoned all the Israelites and said to them:
Your eyes have seen all that the Lord did in Egypt to Pharaoh, to all his officials and to all his land. 3 With your own eyes you saw those great trials, those signs and great wonders. 4 But to this day the Lord has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear. 5 Yet the Lord says, “During the forty years that I led you through the wilderness, your clothes did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet. 6 You ate no bread and drank no wine or other fermented drink. I did this so that you might know that I am the Lord your God.”
موآب میں معاہدہ
29 خداوند نے بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کے ساتھ حورب پہا ڑ میں ایک معاہدہ کیا۔ حورب میں جو معاہدہ کیا گیا اس کے علاوہ خدا نے مو سیٰ سے بنی اسرائیلیوں کے ساتھ ایک اور معاہدہ کرنے کو کہا جب وہ لوگ موآب میں تھے۔ اس معاہدہ کے شرائط یہ ہیں :
2 موسیٰ نے سبھی بنی اسرائیلیوں کو ایک ساتھ بُلا یا اور اس نے ان سے کہا ، “تم نے وہ سب کچھ اپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھا جو خداوند نے ملک مصرمیں فرعون کے ساتھ ،فرعون کے قائدین کے ساتھ اور اس کے پو رے ملک کے ساتھ کیا۔ 3 تم نے ان بڑی مصیبتوں کو دیکھا جو اس نے انہیں دیں۔ تم نے اس کے ان معجزوں اور بڑی کراما ت کو دیکھا جو اس نے کی۔
4 لیکن آج بھی تم نہیں سمجھتے کہ کیا ہوا خداوند نے سچ مُچ تم کو جو تم نے دیکھا اور سُنا اسے سمجھنے کی توفیق نہیں دی۔ 5 میں تمہیں ۴۰ سال تک ریگستان سے ہو کر لے جا تا رہا اور اس لمبے وقت کے درمیان تمہا رے لباس اور جو تے پھٹ کر ختم نہیں ہو ئے۔ 6 تمہا رے پاس کچھ بھی کھانے کو نہیں تھا۔ تمہا رے پاس کچھ بھی مئے یا کو ئی دوسری پینے کی چیز نہیں تھی۔ لیکن خداوند نے تمہا ری دیکھ بھال کی اس نے یہ اِس لئے کیا کہ تم سمجھو گے کہ وہ خداوند تمہا را خدا ہے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told that during 40 years when you led through wilderness – your clothes did not wear out, nor your sandals on your feet – you ate no bread and drink no wine or other fermented drink – I did this so that you might know I am the Lord your God
Our God performed miracles if we trust on Him as he led Isralites in wilderness - Let us trust on Him and live our life in His presence for our own well-being
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
