Deuteronomy 31 ; verse 15-18
Joshua to Succeed Moses
15 Then the Lord appeared at the tent in a pillar of cloud, and the cloud stood over the entrance to the tent. 16 And the Lord said to Moses: “You are going to rest with your ancestors, and these people will soon prostitute themselves to the foreign gods of the land they are entering. They will forsake me and break the covenant I made with them. 17 And in that day I will become angry with them and forsake them; I will hide my face from them, and they will be destroyed. Many disasters and calamities will come on them, and in that day they will ask, ‘Have not these disasters come on us because our God is not with us?’ 18 And I will certainly hide my face in that day because of all their wickedness in turning to other gods.
15 خداوند بادلوں کے ایک ٹکڑے کی شکل میں ظا ہر ہوا بادل کا ٹکڑا خیمہ کے دروازے پر کھڑا تھا۔ 16 خداوند نے موسیٰ سے کہا ، “تم جلد ہی مروگے اور پھر اپنی نسلوں کے ساتھ چلے جا ؤ گے تو یہ لوگ مجھ پر یقین کرنے وا لے نہیں ہو ں گے وہ اس معاہدہ کو تو ڑ دیں گے جو میں نے اُن کے ساتھ کیا ہے وہ مجھے چھوڑدیں گے اور دوسرے دیوتاؤں کی پرستش کرنا شروع کر دیں گے اُن ملکوں کے جھو ٹے خداؤں کی جن میں وہ رہیں گے۔ 17 اُس وقت میں اُن پر بہت غصّہ ہو ں گا اور اُنہیں چھو ڑدوں گا۔ میں ان لوگوں سے اپنا مُنہ پھیرلوں گا۔ اور وہ تباہ ہو جا ئیں گے ان کے ساتھ بھیانک حادثات ہوں گے اور وہ مصیبت میں پڑیں گے۔ تب وہ کہیں گے یہ بُرے واقعات ہما رے ساتھ اس لئے ہو رہا ہے کیونکہ ہما را خداوند ہما رے ساتھ نہیں ہے۔ 18 تب میں ان سے اپنا مُنہ چھپا لوں گا کیوں کہ وہ بُرا کر رہے ہو ں گے۔ اور دوسرے دیوتاؤں کی پرستش کر رہے ہونگے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses you shall not cross the Jordan – Joshua will lead Israelites
God told Moses as days of your death is near so Israelites will beak their covenant and will worship foreign gods and I will become angry and forsake them and disaster and calamities will come on them – I will hid my face because of their wickedness
Our God knows what our actions will be in future- one thing he dislikes that we worship other gods and forsake him, anything to which we give more importance than God is worshipping that - so lets ask God to guide us in our all actions so that we follow the path which is for our ultimate good
Our God is God who ask us to obey Him and in turn get His blessings otherwise disaster for us
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
