Deuteronomy Chapter 34 Verse 5-7 & 10-12
The Death of Moses
5 And Moses the servant of the Lord died there in Moab, as the Lord had said. 6 He buried him in Moab, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, but to this day no one knows where his grave is. 7 Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone
10 Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face, 11 who did all those signs and wonders the Lord sent him to do in Egypt—to Pharaoh and to all his officials and to his whole land. 12 For no one has ever shown the mighty power or performed the awesome deeds that Moses did in the sight of all Israel.
5 تب خداوند کے خادم موسیٰ ملک موآب میں انتقال کر گئے۔ خداوند نے موسیٰ سے کہا تھا کہ ایسا ہو گا۔ 6 اس نے بیت فغور کے پار موآب کی وادی میں موسیٰ کو دفنا یا۔ لیکن آج بھی کو ئی نہیں جانتا کہ موسیٰ کی قبر کہا ں ہے۔ 7 موسیٰ جب انتقال کئے وہ ۱۲۰سال کے تھے اس کی آنکھیں کمزور نہیں تھیں وہ اس وقت بھی طاقتور تھے۔
0 لیکن اس وقت کے بعد موسیٰ کی طرح کو ئی نبی نہیں ہوا۔ خداوند موسیٰ کو رو برو جانتا تھا۔ 11 خداوند نے موسیٰ کو فرعون ، اس کے تمام لوگوں اور مصر کے لوگوں کو معجزے اور نشانیاں دکھانے کے لئے مصر بھیجا۔ 12 کسی دوسرے نبی نے کبھی اتنی طاقتور اور حیران کن معجزے اور نشانیاں نہیں دکھا ئیں جسے موسیٰ نے سبھی بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کی نظر کے سامنے دکھا یا۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses you shall not cross the Jordan – Joshua will lead Israelites
Lord told Moses you will die on Mount Nebo in Moab as Haroon died on Mount Hor – As you both broke faith with me in the presence of the Israelites at waters of Meribah as you didn't uphold my holiness – Therefore you will see the land from a distance and you will not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel
God showed whole land to Moses from Mount Nebo which he promised with an oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and said I will give it to descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – I have let you see it with your own eyes but you will not cross it
Moses died in Moab & God buried him but no one knows about his grave – he was 120 years old yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone
God knows Moses face to face - so who obey God & He loves them, He shows them themselves
God demands obedience in all circumstances even from his prophet like Moses - with whom he talked -
- so we need to obey God and in turn get His blessings otherwise disaster for us
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
