Joshua; Chapter 1 Verse 1-5
Joshua Installed as Leader
After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide: 2 “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites. 3 I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. 4 Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. 5 No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. 6 Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.
خدا کا یشوع کو اِسرائیل کی رہنمائی کے لئے چُننا
1 موسیٰ خدا وند کا خادم تھا۔ نون کا بیٹا یشوع موسیٰ کا مددگار تھا۔ موسیٰ کے انتقال کے بعد خدا وند نے یسوع سے باتیں کیں خدا وند نے یشوع سے کہا ، 2 “میرا خادم موسیٰ انتقال کر گئے۔ اب تم سب لوگوں کو لیکر دریائے یردن کے پار جاؤ۔ تمہیں اس ملک میں جانا چا ہئے جسے میں بنی اسرائیلیوں کو دے رہا ہوں۔ 3 میں نے موسیٰ سے یہ وعدہ کیا تھا کہ یہ ملک میں تمہیں دونگا۔ اس لئے میں تمہیں ہر وہ جگہ دونگا جسے تیرا پاؤں چھوئے۔ 4 حتّیوں کا پورا ملک ریگستان اور لبنان سے لیکر بڑے دریا تک ( دریائے فرات تک ) تمہاری سرحد ہوگی۔ اور یہاں سے مغرب میں بڑے سمندر تک ( سورج کے غروب ہونے کی جگہ تک ) کے ملک تمہاری سرحد کے اندر ہوں گے۔ 5 میں موسیٰ کے ساتھ تھا اور اُسی طرح تمہارے ساتھ رہوں گا۔تمہاری ساری زندگی میں تمہیں کوئی بھی آدمی روکنے
میں کامیاب نہ ہوگا۔ میں تمہارا ساتھ نہیں چھوڑونگا۔ میں کبھی تم سے دور نہیں ہونگا۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses you shall not cross the Jordan – Joshua will lead Israelites
God told Joshua that as Moses died now you will lead Israelites – I will give you every place where you set your foot – no one will be able to stand against you, As I was with Moses I will be with you also – be strong and courageous because you will let these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors
God keep his promise He made with our forfathers and then to their generations if we remains obedient and faithful - as He is creator and we need to submit
Lets ask God to give us wisdom to understand his role in our lives - which is given by Him -
- so we need to obey God and in turn get His blessings otherwise disaster for us
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
