Joshua; Chapter 4 Verse 14-16
14 That day the Lord exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they stood in awe of him all the days of his life, just as they had stood in awe of Moses.
15 Then the Lord said to Joshua, 16 “Command the priests carrying the ark of the covenant law to come up out of the Jordan.”
14 اس دن خدا وند نے بنی اسرائیلیوں کی نظر میں یشوع کی اہمیت کو بڑھا دیا۔ اس وقت سے لوگ اس کی تعظیم کرنے لگے انہوں نے زندگی بھر یشوع کا اسی طرح احترام کیا جیسے موسیٰ کی تعظیم کی تھی۔ 15 جس وقت صندوق لے جانے والے کاہن ابھی دریا میں ہی کھڑے تھے خدا وند نے یشوع سے کہا ، 16 “کاہنوں کو دریا کے باہر آنے کا حکم دو۔ ”
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses be strong and courageous – be careful to obey my laws and decrees Moses gave you- don’t turn right or left so that you may be successful wherever you go –
When people finished crossing Jordan – Lord told Joshua choose 12 men from each tribe – and tell them to take 12 stones from middle of Jordan where priest standing and put them to place where you stay tonight
That day God exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel and they stood in awe of him all the days of his life – just as they stood in awe of Moses
Then Lord said to Joshua – command the priests carrying ark of covenant to come up out of Jordan
God want us to do something for rememberance of His works He did for our well-being - and it is God who raise us in the eyes of others
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
