Joshua; Chapter 5 Verse 2-3
Circumcision and Passover at Gilgal
2 At that time the Lord said to Joshua, “Make flint knives and circumcise the Israelites again.” 3 So Joshua made flint knives and circumcised the Israelites at Gibeath Haaraloth.
نی اسرا ئیلیوں کا ختنہ
2 اس وقت خداوند نے یشوع سے کہا ، “تیز نوکدار پتھر سے چاقو بنا ؤ اور بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کا ختنہ کرو۔”
3 اس لئے یشوع نے تیز نوکدار پتھر کے چاقو بنا ئے پھر اس نے بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کا ختنہ گیبات ہرالوت [ پر کیا۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses be strong and courageous – be careful to obey my laws and decrees Moses gave you- don’t turn right or left so that you may be successful wherever you go –
God told Joshua make flint knives and circumcise the Israelites again at Gibeath Haaraloth
Circumcision is a sign of God’s covenant with Abraham and his generation – so lot of people were not circumcised when they were in wilderness for 40-years so God commanded Joshua and he fulfilled what God said
To obey God means - we have full trust on Him
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
