Joshua; Chapter 5 Verse 9
9 Then the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.” So the place has been called Gilgal to this day.
9 اس وقت خداوند نے یشوع سے کہا ، “تم مصر میں غلام تھے اور اس کی وجہ سے تم شرمندہ تھے۔ لیکن میں نے آج تمہا ری شرمندگی کو دور کر دیا ہے۔” اس لئے یشوع نے اس جگہ کا نام جلجال رکھا اور اس جگہ کو آج بھی جلجال کہا جا تا ہے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses be strong and courageous – be careful to obey my laws and decrees Moses gave you- don’t turn right or left so that you may be successful wherever you go –
God told Joshua that today I have rolled away the rebuke / shame of Egypt from you - where you were slaves
It is God who give respect and shame - we need to be fearful and obey Him to live a respectful life on this earth
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
