Joshua; Chapter 6 Verse 2-5
The Fall of Jericho
2 Then the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men. 3 March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. 4 Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. 5 When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, everyone straight in.”
2 تب خداوند نے یشوع سے کہا ، “دیکھو میں نے یریحو شہر کو تمہا رے قبضہ میں دے دیا ہے اس کا بادشاہ اور اس کی تمام فوج کو شکست دو گے۔ 3 ہر دن اپنی فوج کے ساتھ شہر کے چاروں طرف اپنی طاقت کا مظا ہرہ کرو ایسا چھ دن تک کرو۔ 4 بکرے کے سینگوں سے بنی سات بِگل کو لے کر سات کا ہنوں کو چلنے دو۔ ان کا ہنوں سے کہو کہ وہ مقدّس صندوق کے آگے چلیں۔ ساتویں دن شہر کے اطراف سات چکر لگا ؤ۔ کا ہنوں سے کہو کہ وہ چلتے وقت بِگل بجا ئیں۔ 5 کا ہن بِگل لمبی آ واز میں بجا ئیں گے تم ان لوگوں سے کہو جب وہ بگل بجانے کی آواز سنیں تو وہ اپنی زوردار آواز سے چلا ئیں۔ جب تم ایسا کرو گے تو شہر کی دیواریں ہِل کر گر جا ئیں گی۔ تب تمہا رے لوگ سیدھے شہر میں دا خل ہو جا ئیں گے۔”
My point of view about above verses
God told Joshua be strong and courageous – be careful to obey my laws and decrees Moses gave you- don’t turn right or left so that you may be successful wherever you go –
God told Joshua how to take over Jerico – march around the city for 7days with all the armed men with 7 priests carrying trumpets of ram’s horn in front of the ark – on the seventh day march around the city 7 time with priests blowing the trumpets - & whole army gave a loud shout – then the wall of the city will collapse and army will enter in
God fights for his people - what we need to be still and watch what He does for His people - try to be His - How !!! to obey him and you can win all battles
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
