Joshua; Chapter 10 Verse 9-11
After an all-night march from Gilgal, Joshua took them by surprise. 10 The Lord threw them into confusion before Israel, so Joshua and the Israelites defeated them completely at Gibeon. Israel pursued them along the road going up to Beth Horon and cut them down all the way to Azekah and Makkedah. 11 As they fled before Israel on the road down from Beth Horon to Azekah, the Lord hurled large hailstones down on them, and more of them died from the hail than were killed by the swords of the Israelites.
9 یشوع اور اس کی فوج رات تمام جبعون کی طرف بڑھتی رہی۔ دُشمن کو معلوم نہ تھا کہ یشوع آ رہا ہے اس لئے جب اس نے حملہ کیا تو چونک گئے۔
10 خداوند نے ان فو جوں کو اسرا ئیل کی فو جوں کے ساتھ حملے کے وقت گھبرا ہٹ میں مبتلا کر دیا اس لئے اسرا ئیلیو ں نے انہیں شکست دے کر بڑی فتح پا ئی۔ اسرا ئیلیو ں نے پیچھا کر کے انہیں منتشر کیا۔ جبعون سے بیت حو رون تک ان کا پیچھا کر کے بھگا یا۔ اسرا ئیل کی فوج عزیقاہ اور مقیدہ کے راستے میں سارے آدمیوں کو مار ڈا لا۔ 11 پھر اسرا ئیل کی فو جوں نے بیت حو رو ن سے عزیقاہ کو جانے وا لی سڑک تک دشمنوں کا پیچھا کیا۔ اس وقت خداو ندنے بڑے بڑے اولوں کا طو فان اسرا ئیلی دشمنو ں پر بھیجا۔ اس لئے ان میں سے بہت سارے مر گئے۔ دراصل تلواروں کے بہ نسبت او لو ں سے زیادہ دشمن مارے گئے تھے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Joshua be strong and courageous – be careful to obey my laws and decrees Moses gave you- don’t turn right or left so that you may be successful wherever you go –
Lord God confuse people of Gilgal – The Lord thrown large hailstones down on them and more are died from hail than killed by the swords of Israelites
God wants us to do as what He wants - then there is victory for us - if God is with us ; no one can defeat us
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
