Joshua; Chapter 10 Verse 29-32
29 Then Joshua and all Israel with him moved on from Makkedah to Libnah and attacked it. 30 The Lord also gave that city and its king into Israel’s hand.
31 Then Joshua and all Israel with him moved on from Libnah to Lachish; he took up positions against it and attacked it. 32 The Lord gave Lachish into Israel’s hands, and Joshua took it on the second day.
جنوبی شہروں کو لے لیا جانا
29 تب یشوع اور سبھی بنی اسرا ئیلیوں نے مقیدہ سے سفر کیا وہ لبنان گئے اور شہر پر حملہ کیا۔ 30 خداوند نے بنی اسرا ئیلیوں سے اس شہر اور اس کے بادشاہ کو شکست دلوا ئی۔ بنی اسرا ئیلیوں نے اس شہر کے ہر آدمی کو مار ڈا لا۔ کسی بھی آدمی کو زندہ نہیں چھو ڑا گیا اور لوگوں نے بادشاہ کے ساتھ وہی کیا جو انہوں نے یریحو کے بادشاہ کے ساتھ کیا تھا۔
31 پھر یشوع اور سبھی بنی اسرا ئیلیوں نے لبناہ کو چھو ڑا اور انہوں نے لکیس تک سفر کیا۔ یشوع اور اس کی فو ج نے لبنا ہ کے چاروں طرف خیمے ڈا لے اور پھر انہوں نے شہر پر حملہ کیا۔ 32 خداوند نے بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کو لکیس کے شہر کو شکست دینے دیا۔ دوسرے دن انہوں نے شہر کو شکست دی بنی اسرا ئیلیوں نے اس شہر کے ہر آدمی کو مار ڈا لا۔ یہ ویسا ہی تھا جیسا کہ اس نے لبنا ہ میں کیا تھا
My point of view about above verses
God told Joshua be strong and courageous – be careful to obey my laws and decrees Moses gave you- don’t turn right or left so that you may be successful wherever you go –
The Lord also gave Makkeedah city and its king into Israel’s hand
The Lord gave Lachish into Israel’s hand and Joshua took it
God wants us to do as what He wants - then there is victory for us - if God is with us ; no one can defeat us - It is God who can give kingdoms and it is Him who can take back only - as all kingdoms of the world belongs to Him
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
