Joshua; Chapter 11 Verse 1-6
Northern Kings Defeated
When Jabin king of Hazor heard of this, he sent word to Jobab king of Madon, to the kings of Shimron and Akshaph, 2 and to the northern kings who were in the mountains, in the Arabah south of Kinnereth, in the western foothills and in Naphoth Dor on the west; 3 to the Canaanites in the east and west; to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites and Jebusites in the hill country; and to the Hivites below Hermon in the region of Mizpah. 4 They came out with all their troops and a large number of horses and chariots—a huge army, as numerous as the sand on the seashore. 5 All these kings joined forces and made camp together at the Waters of Merom to fight against Israel.
All king and their armories along with large number of horses and chariots gathered to fight against Israelites – the Lord told Joshua don’t be afraid of them as I will hand all of them to you, you are hamstring their horses and burn their chariots
6 The Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them, because by this time tomorrow I will hand all of them, slain, over to Israel. You are to hamstring their horses and burn their chariots.”
شمالی شہروں کی شکست
11 حصور کے بادشا ہ یا بین نے جو واقعات ہو ئے اس کے متعلق سنا اس لئے اس نے طئے کیا کہ کئی بادشاہوں کی فو جوں کو بُلا یا جا ئے۔ یا بین نے ایک پیغام مدون کے بادشا ہ یُو باب ، سمرو ن کے بادشاہ ، اکشاف کے بادشاہ ، 2 اور شمالی پہا ڑی ملک اور ریگستان کے بادشا ہو ں کو بھیجا۔ یابین نے پیغام نفوت ڈور کو جو مغرب میں تھا ، کنّرت کے بادشاہ کو ، نیگیو اور مغربی پہا ڑی دامن کو بھیجا۔
3 یا بین وہ پیغام مشرق اور مغرب کے کنعانی لوگو ں کے بادشا ہوں کو بھیجا۔ اس نے اموری لوگوں، حتّی لوگوں، فرزّی لوگوں اور یبوسی لوگوں کو جو پہا ڑی علا قو ں میں رہتے تھے پیغام بھیجا۔ اس نے حوّی لوگو ں کو جو مصفاہ کے قریب حرمُون پہا ڑی کے قریب رہتے تھے انہیں بھی پیغام بھیجا۔
اس لئے ان تمام بادشاہوں کی افواج ایک ساتھ مل کر آئیں جہاں کئی جنگجو ، کئی گھو ڑے اور رتھ تھے یہ سب سے بڑی عظیم فو ج تھی۔ وہ تعداد میں سمندر کے کنا رے کی ریت کی مانند تھے۔
5 یہ تمام بادشاہ ایک ساتھ دریائے میروم پر ملے اُنہوں نے انکی فوجوں کو اسرائیل کے خلاف جنگ لڑ نے کے لئے ایک ساتھ شامل کیا۔
6 تب خدا وند نے یشوع سے کہا ، “ان فوجوں سے مت ڈرو۔ کل اسی وقت میں تمہیں انہیں شکست دینے دونگا۔ تم ان سب کو مار ڈالوگے۔ تم انکے گھوڑوں کی ٹانگوں کی رگ ( کونچیں ) کاٹ ڈالوگے اور انکے تمام رتھوں کو جلا ڈالو گے۔”
My point of view about above verses
God told Joshua be strong and courageous – be careful to obey my laws and decrees Moses gave you- don’t turn right or left so that you may be successful wherever you go –
All king and their armories along with large number of horses and chariots gathered to fight against Israelites – the Lord told Joshua don’t be afraid of them as I will hand all of them to you, you are restrict their horses and burn their chariots
God wants us to do as what He wants - then there is victory for us - if God is with us ; no one can defeat us - It is God who can give kingdoms and it is Him who can take back only - as all kingdoms of the world belongs to Him- only we need to follow Him as He knows what is best for us
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
