Joshua; Chapter 11 Verse 7-9
Northern Kings Defeated
7 So Joshua and his whole army came against them suddenly at the Waters of Merom and attacked them, 8 and the Lord gave them into the hand of Israel. They defeated them and pursued them all the way to Greater Sidon, to Misrephoth Maim, and to the Valley of Mizpah on the east, until no survivors were left. 9 Joshua did to them as the Lord had directed: He hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots
شمالی شہروں کی شکست
7 یشوع اور اُس کی تمام فوج اچانک حمکہ کر کے انہیں چونکا دیا۔ انہوں نے دریائے میروم پر دُشمنوں پر حملہ کیا۔ 8 خدا وند نے اسرائیلیوں کو انہیں شکست دینے دی۔ اسرائیل کی فوج نے انکو شکست دی۔ اور انکا تعاقب صیدون عظیم ، مسرفا ت المائم اور مشرق میں مصفاہ کی وادی تک کیا۔ اسرائیل کی فوج اس وقت تک لڑ تی رہی جب تک کہ دشمن کا ایک بھی آدمی زندہ نہ بچا رہا۔ 9 یشوع نے وہی کیا جو خدا وند نے کہا تھا کہ وہ کریگا اور یشوع نے ان کے گھو ڑوں کی ٹانگوں کا رگ ( کو نچیں ) کا ٹے اور انکی رتھوں کو جلائے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Joshua be strong and courageous – be careful to obey my laws and decrees Moses gave you- don’t turn right or left so that you may be successful wherever you go –
All king and their armories along with large number of horses and chariots gathered to fight against Israelites – the Lord told Joshua don’t be afraid of them as I will hand all of them to you, you are restrict their horses and burn their chariots
God Lord gave them into the hand of Israel – they defeated them and pursued them until no survivors left
God wants us to do as what He wants - then there is victory for us - if God is with us ; no one can defeat us - It is God who can give kingdoms and it is Him who can take back only - as all kingdoms of the world belongs to Him- only we need to follow Him as He knows what is best for us - It is God who gave people into hands of other people - so be still and wait for His will to be fulfilled in our lives
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives
