Joshua; Chapter 24 Verse 2-4
2 Joshua said to all the people, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Long ago your ancestors, including Terah the father of Abraham and Nahor, lived beyond the Euphrates River and worshiped other gods. 3 But I took your father Abraham from the land beyond the Euphrates and led him throughout Canaan and gave him many descendants. I gave him Isaac, 4 and to Isaac I gave Jacob and Esau. I assigned the hill country of Seir to Esau, but Jacob and his family went down to Egypt.
2 تب یشوع نے تمام لوگوں سے باتیں کیں اس نے کہا ، “میں وہ کہہ رہا ہوں جو خداوند اسرائیل کا خدا تم سے کہتا ہے : “بہت زمانہ پہلے تمہا رے باپ دادا دریا ئے فرات کے دوسری جانب رہتے تھے۔ میں ان آدمیوں کے بارے میں بات کر رہا ہوں جو ابرا ہیم اور نحور کے باپ تارح کی طرح تھے۔ اُن دنوں تمہا رے اجداد دوسرے خدا ؤں کی پرستش کرتے تھے۔ 3 لیکن میں خداوند تمہا رے آبا ؤ اجداد ابرا ہیم کو دریا کے دوسری طرف کی زمین سے باہر لا یا۔ میں اسے کنعان ملک سے ہو کر لے گیا اور اس کو کئی اولا دیں دیں میں نے ابرا ہیم کو اسحاق نامی بیٹا دیا۔ 4 اور میں نے اسحاق کو یعقو ب اور عیساؤ نامی دو بیٹے دیئے۔ میں نے شعیر کی پہا ڑی کے چاروں طرف کی زمین عیساؤ کو دی۔ لیکن یعقوب اور اس کی اولا د وہاں نہیں رہی۔ وہ مصر کے ملک میں رہنے کے لئے چلی گئی۔
My point of view about above verses
God fulfilled all his promises which he made to ancestors of Israelites and give them all the land he promised and gave all their enemies into their hands
Joshua narrating God and said, God says long ago Terah – the father of Abraham and Nahor lived beyond the Euphrates river and worshipped other gods – but I took Abraham and gave him Isaac and to him Jacob and Esau- I assigned all hill country to Esau but Jacob and his family went down to Egypt
Our God fulfills his promises if we keep trusting Him and obeying Him with our hearts, body, mind and soul
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
