Joshua; Chapter 24 Verse 8-10
8 “‘I brought you to the land of the Amorites who lived east of the Jordan. They fought against you, but I gave them into your hands. I destroyed them from before you, and you took possession of their land. 9 When Balak son of Zippor, the king of Moab, prepared to fight against Israel, he sent for Balaam son of Beor to put a curse on you. 10 But I would not listen to Balaam, so he blessed you again and again, and I delivered you out of his hand.
8 تب میں تمہیں اموری لوگوں کی زمین میں لا یا یہ یردن دریا کے مشرق میں تھی۔ وہ لوگ تمہا رے خلاف لڑے ان لوگوں کو شکست دینے کے لئے تمہیں طاقت بخشی۔ میں نے انہیں تباہ کیا۔ تب تم نے زمین پر قبضہ جما لیا۔
9 تب صفور کے بیٹے بلق موآب کے بادشاہ نے بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کے خلا ف لڑنے کی تیاری کی۔ بادشاہ نے بعور کے بیٹے بلعام کو بلا یا۔ ا س نے بلعام سے تمہا رے لئے بد دُعا کرنے کو کہا۔ 10 لیکن میں نے یعنی تمہارے خداوند نے بلعام کی ایک نہ سنی۔ اس لئے بلعام نے تم لوگوں کے لئے اچھی چیزیں ہو نے کی خواہش کی اس نے تمہیں کئی مر تبہ دُعا ئیں دیں اس طرح میں نے تمہیں بلعام سے بچا یا۔
My point of view about above verses
God fulfilled all his promises which he made to ancestors of Israelites and gave them all the land he promised and gave all their enemies into their hands
Joshua narrating God and said, God says long ago Terah – the father of Abraham and Nahor lived beyond the Euphrates river and worshipped other gods – but I took Abraham and gave him Isaac and to him Jacob and Esau- I assigned all hill country to Esau but Jacob and his family went down to Egypt
Then God sent Moses and Aaron and afflicted Egyptians – and bring you out of Egypt and you came to the sea, Egyptians pursued you with their chariots and horsemen – and they cried to the Lord for help and I brought the sea over them and cover them – so saw what I did to the Egyptians and you lived in wilderness for a long time
I the Lord gave you land of Amorites – they fought against you but I gave them into your hands and you took possession of their land. When Balak prepared to fight against you he sent Balaam to curse you but I did not listen Balaam so he blessed you again and again and I delivered you out of his hand
Our God fulfills his promises if we keep trusting Him and obeying Him with our hearts, body, mind and soul - He is only God; who gave us power to fight and even fights for us - He changed the words of curse into blessings
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
