Judges; Chapter 2 Verse 16-19
16 Then the Lord raised up judges, who saved them out of the hands of these raiders. Yet they would not listen to their judges but prostituted themselves to other gods and worshiped them. They quickly turned from the ways of their ancestors, who had been obedient to the Lord’s commands. 18 Whenever the Lord raised up a judge for them, he was with the judge and saved them out of the hands of their enemies as long as the judge lived; for the Lord relented because of their groaning under those who oppressed and afflicted them. 19 But when the judge died, the people returned to ways even more corrupt than those of their ancestors, following other gods and serving and worshiping them. They refused to give up their evil practices and stubborn ways.
16 تب خداوند نے قائدین کو چنا جو کہ قاضی کہلا ئے۔ ان قاضیوں نے بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کو اُن دشمنوں سے بچا یا جنہوں نے ان کی ملکیت کو ہڑپ لئے تھے۔ 17 تا ہم اسرا ئیلی لوگوں نے بھی اپنے قاضیوں کی ایک نہ سنی۔ بنی اسرا ئیل خدا کے ساتھ وفادار نہیں تھے۔ وہ جھو ٹے خداؤں کی راہ پر چل رہے تھے۔ ماضی میں بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کے باپ دادا خدا کے حکم کی تعمیل کر تے تھے۔ لیکن اب بنی اسرا ئیل اپنے باپ دادا کے راستوں سے مُڑ گئے تھے اور انہوں نے خداوند کے حکم کی تعمیل کر نی چھوڑدی تھی۔
18 جب بھی خداوند نے بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کی حفاظت کے لئے منصف کو بھیجا اس نے اس منصف کی مدد کی۔ تب منصف نے ان لوگوں کی ان کے دشمنوں سے اس وقت تک حفاظت کی جب تک وہ زندہ رہے۔ خداوند نے ایسا اس لئے کیا کیونکہ اس کو بنی اسرائیلیوں پر افسوس ہوا جب ان کے دشمن ان کو نقصان پہو نچا تے تو وہ سب مدد کے لئے چلاّتے تھے۔
19 لیکن جب سارے منصف مر گئے تو بنی اسرا ئیلیوں نے پھر گناہ کئے اور جھو ٹے خدا ؤں کی پرستش شروع کی۔ بنی اسرا ئیل بہت ضدّی تھے۔ انہوں نے اپنے گنا ہوں کے راستے بدلنے سے انکار کیا۔
My point of view about above verses
However God was concerned about them so He raised judges who can saved them from the hands of their raiders but as the judge dies they turn away from the ways of their ancestors who had been obedient to Lord’s commands and not worshipped other gods – they refuse to give up their evil practices - so God remained angry with them
If we worship someone else other than God, He will left us and our enemies will defeat us
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
