Judges; Chapter 6 Verse 19-22
19 Gideon went inside, prepared a young goat, and from an ephah of flour he made bread without yeast. Putting the meat in a basket and its broth in a pot, he brought them out and offered them to him under the oak.
20 The angel of God said to him, “Take the meat and the unleavened bread, place them on this rock, and pour out the broth.” And Gideon did so. 21 Then the angel of the Lord touched the meat and the unleavened bread with the tip of the staff that was in his hand. Fire flared from the rock, consuming the meat and the bread. And the angel of the Lord disappeared. 22 When Gideon realized that it was the angel of the Lord, he exclaimed, “Alas, Sovereign Lord! I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face!”
19 اس لئے جدعون گیا اور اس نے بکری کا ایک بچہ کھولتے پانی میں پکا یا۔ جدعون نے تقریباً بیس پاؤنڈ آٹا بھی لا یا اور بغیر خمیری روٹیاں بنا ئیں۔ تب جدعون نے گوشت کے ٹکڑے ایک ٹوکڑی میں پکے ہو ئے گوشت کے شوربے کو ایک برتن میں لا یا۔ اور اس میں گوشت کے ٹکڑوں کو ڈالا۔ وہ ہر چیز کو باہر لا یا اور بلوط کے درخت کے نیچے خداوند کے پاس رکھا۔
20 خدا کے فرشتہ نے جدعون سے کہا ، “گوشت اور غیر خمیری رو ٹیوں کو وہا ں چٹا ن پر رکھو۔ تب شوربے کو گراؤ ” جدعون نے ویسا ہی کیا جیسا کرنے کو کہا گیا تھا۔
21 خداوند کے فرشتہ نے ڈنڈا لیا جو کہ اس کے ہا تھ میں تھا اور گوشت اور روٹیوں کو اس ڈنڈے کے سرے سے چھُوا تب چٹان سے آ گ بھڑک اٹھی ، گوشت اور روٹیاں پو ری طرح جل گئیں۔ تب خداوند کا فرشتہ غائب ہو گیا۔
22 تب جدعون نے سمجھا کہ وہ خداوند کے فرشتہ سے باتیں کر رہا تھا۔ اس لئے وہ پکا ر اٹھا اے خداوند قادرِ مطلق میری مدد کر۔ میں نے خداوند کے فرشتہ کو رُو برو دیکھا ہے۔
My point of view about above verses
Lord became very angry with Israel and said as this nation has violated the covenant I made with their ancestors – I will no longer drive other nations out and will test Israel through them whether they follow the way of the Lord as their ancestors did
When Israel cried out to Lord because of Midian –
Angel of Lord appeared to Gideon and said mighty warrior – lord is with you
God told Gideon go in strength and save Israel out of Midians’s hand- As Gideon showing doubt that God is with us – but God said Am I not sending you
God told Gideon – I will be with you and you will strike all Midianites leaving none alive as Geaden said I am the weakest in the family of Manasseh
Gideon said if I found favor in your eyes Lord- stay here until I bring my offering and Lord waited
On Gideon offering of meat & bread – God’s angel said to place your offering on a rock and he touched it with his staff & fire flared from the rock, consuming the meat and the bread
When we returns to God, he plans for our rescue
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
