Judges; Chapter 6 Verse 25-26
25 That same night the Lord said to him, “Take the second bull from your father’s herd, the one seven years old. Tear down your father’s altar to Baal and cut down the Asherah pole beside it. 26 Then build a proper kind of altar to the Lord your God on the top of this height. Using the wood of the Asherah pole that you cut down, offer the second bull as a burnt offering.”
جِد عون کا بعل کی قربان گاہ کو گرانا
25 اُسی خدا وند نے جِدعون سے باتیں کیں۔ خدا وند نے جدعون سے کہا ، “اپنے باپ کے اس موٹے بیل کو لو جو سات سال کا ہو۔ تمہارے باپ کے جھوٹے دیوتا بعل کی ایک قربان گاہ ہے اُس قربان گاہ کے پاس ایک لکڑی کا ستون بھی ہے۔ ستون جھوٹی دیوی یسیرت کی تعظیم کے لئے بنایا گیا ہے۔ بیل کا استعمال بعل کی قربان گاہ کو کھینچنے کے لئے کرو اور اسے ٹکڑوں میں کاٹ دو۔ 26 تب ایک قاعدے کی قربان گاہ اونچی جگہ پر بناؤ۔ تب مکمل جوان بیل کو ذبح کرو اور اس قربان گاہ پر اس کو جلاؤ۔ یسیرت کے ستون کی لکڑی کا استعمال اپنی قربانی کے جلانے کے لئے کرو۔”
My point of view about above verses
Lord became very angry with Israel and said as this nation has violated the covenant I made with their ancestors – I will no longer drive other nations out and will test Israel through them whether they follow the way of the Lord as their ancestors did
When Israel cried out to Lord because of Midian –
Angel of Lord appeared to Gideon and said mighty warrior – lord is with you
God told Gideon go in strength and save Israel out of Midians’s hand- As Gideon showing doubt that God is with us – but God said Am I not sending you
God told Gideon – I will be with you and you will strike all Midianites leaving none alive as Geaden said I am the weakest in the family of Manasseh
Gideon said if I found favor in your eyes Lord- stay here until I bring my offering and Lord waited
On Gideon offering of meat & bread – God’s angel said to place your offering on a rock and he touched it with his staff & fire flared from the rock, consuming the meat and the bread
God told Gideon peace be with you – don’t be afraid – you will not die as he was afraid after seeing Lord’s angel face to face
God told Gideon take the second bull from your father’s herd and offer it on altar as a burnt offering - first tear down your father’s altar and build proper altar for the Lord
When we returns to God, he plans for our rescue - sometimes he ask us to stand against our own parents - as he told Gideon to tear dow the altar he built for Baal
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
