Judges; Chapter 6 Verse 39-40
39 Then Gideon said to God, “Do not be angry with me. Let me make just one more request. Allow me one more test with the fleece, but this time make the fleece dry and let the ground be covered with dew.” 40 That night God did so. Only the fleece was dry; all the ground was covered with dew.
39 تب جِد عون نے خدا سے کہا ، “مجھ پر غصّہ نہ ہو مجھے صرف ایک اور سوال کرنے دے۔ مجھے بھیڑ کے اون سے ایک بار اور آزمانے دے۔ اس مرتبہ بھیڑ کے اون کو خشک رہنے دے جبکہ اطراف ساری زمین شبنم سے بھیگی ہو۔”
40 اس رات خدا وند نے وہی کیا صرف بھیڑ کی اون ہی سوکھی تھی لیکن چاروں طرف کی زمین شبنم سے بھیگی ہوئی تھی۔
My point of view about above verses
Lord became very angry with Israel and said as this nation has violated the covenant I made with their ancestors – I will no longer drive other nations out and will test Israel through them whether they follow the way of the Lord as their ancestors did
God gave Gideon the resposibility to save Israelites from Midianites, Amalekites and other eastern peoples and Gideon want to make sure that is it fact that God want to use him against these nations
Gideon tested / argue with God that if I have to save Israel then let the dew be on wool fleece only i am putting outside and all other things remain dry and God did what he said -
Gideon tested God again and said don’t be angry with me that if I have to save Israel let the ground has dew and wool fleece remain dry and God did what he said
When we returns to God, he plans for our rescue, He let us argue with him and test Him as Gideon did two times
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
