Judges; Chapter 9 Verse 22-25 & 56-57
After Abimelek had governed Israel three years, 23 God stirred up animosity between Abimelek and the citizens of Shechem so that they acted treacherously against Abimelek. 24 God did this in order that the crime against Jerub-Baal’s seventy sons, the shedding of their blood, might be avenged on their brother Abimelek and on the citizens of Shechem, who had helped him murder his brothers. 25 In opposition to him these citizens of Shechem set men on the hilltops to ambush and rob everyone who passed by, and this was reported to Abimelek.
56 Thus God repaid the wickedness that Abimelek had done to his father by murdering his seventy brothers. 57 God also made the people of Shechem pay for all their wickedness. The curse of Jotham son of Jerub-Baal came on them.
22 ابی ملک نے بنی اسرائیلیوں پر تین سال حکومت کی۔ 23-24 ابی ملک نے یُربعل کے ۷۰ بیٹوں کو مار ڈا لا۔ اور وہ سب ابی ملک کے اپنے بھا ئی تھے۔ سکم شہر کے قائدین نے اس بری حرکت کر نے میں اُس کی مدد کی تھی۔ اس لئے خدا وند نے ابی ملک اور سِکم کے قائدین کے درمیان جھگڑا شروع کر وایا اور اس لئے سکم کے قائدین نے ابی ملک کو نقصان پہونچانے کے لئے منصوبے بنائے۔ 25 اس سے دشمنی میں آکر سِکم کے قائدین نے پہاڑوں کی چوٹیوں پر آدمیوں کو حملہ کر نے کے لئے رکھا۔ تب ان لوگوں نے ادھر سے گزر نے والے سبھی لوگوں پر حملہ کیا اور انہیں لوٹا۔ ابی ملک کو ان حملوں کے بارے میں معلوم ہوا۔
56 اس طرح خدا نے ابی ملک کو اس کے تمام گناہوں کے لئے سزا دی۔ ابی ملک نے اپنے ۷۰ بھا ئیوں کو مار کر اپنے باپ کے خلاف گناہ کیا تھا۔ 57 خدا نے سکم شہر کے لوگوں کو بھی ان کے کئے گئے شرارتی کاموں کے لئے سزا دی۔ اس لئے سب کچھ ویسا ہی ہوا جیسا یربعّل کے بیٹے یوتام نے اپنی بد دعا میں کہا تھا۔
My point of view about above verses
God repay Abimelek wickedness as he murdered his 70 brothers and let citizens of Shechem acted unfaithfully towards him and put men in hill tops to rob and ambush everyone who passed by - in this way God avenge the blood of 70 sons of Jerub-Baal and wicked ness of Shechem citizens as they helped Abimelek to murder his brothers
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
