Judges; Chapter 10 Verse 6-10
And because the Israelites forsook the Lord and no longer served him, 7 he became angry with them. He sold them into the hands of the Philistines and the Ammonites, 8 who that year shattered and crushed them. For eighteen years they oppressed all the Israelites on the east side of the Jordan in Gilead, the land of the Amorites. 9 The Ammonites also crossed the Jordan to fight against Judah, Benjamin and Ephraim; Israel was in great distress. 10 Then the Israelites cried out to the Lord, “We have sinned against you, forsaking our God and serving the Baals.”
بنی اسرا ئیلیوں نے خداوند کو چھو ڑ دیا اور اس کی خدمت بند کر دی۔
7 اس لئے خداوند نے بنی اسرا ئیلیوں پر غصّہ کیا۔ خداوند نے فلسطینیوں اور عمّونیوں کو انہیں شکست دینے دی۔ 8 اسی سال ان لوگوں نے بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کو تباہ کیا جو جلعاد کے علاقے میں دریا ئے یردن کے مشرق میں رہتے تھے۔ یہ وہی ملک ہے جہاں عمّونی لوگ رہ چکے تھے۔ اسرا ئیل کے وہ لوگ اٹھا رہ سال سے تکلیفیں اٹھا تے رہے
تب عموّنی لوگ دریا ئے یردن کے پا ر گئے۔ وہ لوگ یہوداہ ، بنیمین اور افرا ئیم کے لوگوں کے خلاف لڑنے گئے۔ عموّنی لوگوں نے بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کی زندگی کو تکلیف دہ بنا دی۔
10 اس لئے بنی اسرا ئیلیوں نے خداوند کو پکا را اور کہا ، “اے خدا ہم لوگوں نے تیرے خلاف گناہ کئے ہیں۔ ہم لوگوں نے اپنے خدا کو چھوڑا اور بعل کی مورتیوں کی پرستش کی۔”
My point of view about above verses
God became angry with Israelites as they forsake him by serving Baals so he handed them into the hands of Philistines, Ammonites – so Israel was in great distress
If people do not serve the Lord and worship others, God get angry - and then people suffer
May God give us wisdom to understand His Word and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
