1 Kings ; Chapter 12 Verse 16- 24
16 When all Israel saw that the king refused to listen to them, they answered the king:
“What share do we have in David, what part in Jesse’s son? To your tents, Israel! Look after your own house, David!”
So the Israelites went home. 17 But as for the Israelites who were living in the towns of Judah, Rehoboam still ruled over them.
21 When Rehoboam arrived in Jerusalem, he mustered all Judah and the tribe of Benjamin—a hundred and eighty thousand able young men—to go to war against Israel and to regain the kingdom for Rehoboam son of Solomon.
22 But this word of God came to Shemaiah the man of God: 23 “Say to Rehoboam son of Solomon king of Judah, to all Judah and Benjamin, and to the rest of the people, 24 ‘This is what the Lord says: Do not go up to fight against your brothers, the Israelites. Go home, every one of you, for this is my doing.’” So they obeyed the word of the Lord and went home again, as the Lord had ordered.
16 سبھی بنی اسرا ئیلیوں نے دیکھا کہ نیا بادشاہ ان کی بات سننے سے انکار کیا۔ اس لئے لوگوں نے بادشاہ سے کہا ،
“کیا ہم داؤد کے خاندان کا حصہ ہیں ؟” نہیں! کیا ہم یسّی کی زمین میں کو ئی حصّہ پا تے ہیں ؟” نہیں! اس لئے اسرائیلیو چلو اپنے گھر چلیں۔”
اس طرح بنی اسرا ئیل گھر چلے گئے۔ 17 لیکن رحُبعام ابھی بھی اسرا ئیلیوں پر حکومت کی جو یہوداہ کے شہروں میں تھے۔
18 ادونی رام نامی ایک آدمی تمام ملازموں کا نگراں کار تھا۔ بادشاہ رحُبعام نے ادونی رام کو لوگوں سے بات کرنے کے لئے بھیجا۔ لیکن بنی اسرا ئیلیوں نے اس پر پتھر پھینکے یہاں تک کہ وہ مر گیا۔ بادشاہ رحُبعام اپنی رتھ کی طرف بھا گا اور یروشلم فرار ہو گیا۔ 19 اس وجہ سے اسرا ئیلی داؤد کے خاندانوں کے خلاف ہو گئے اور ابھی تک آج بھی وہ داؤد کے خاندان کے خلاف ہیں۔
20 سبھی بنی اسرا ئیلیوں نے سنا کہ یرُ بعام واپس آچکا ہے ا س لئے انہوں نے اس کو مجلس میں بلا یا اور اس کو تمام اسرا ئیل پر بادشاہ بنا یا یہوداہ کا خاندانی گروہ ہی ایک ایسا گروہ تھا جس نے داؤد کے خاندان کے مطابق چلنے کو جاری رکھا۔
21 رحُبعام واپس یروشلم گیا وہ یہودا ہ کے خاندانوں اور بنیمین کے خاندانی گروہ کو ایک ساتھ جمع کیا۔ یہ ۱۸۰۰۰ آدمیوں کی فوج تھی۔رحُبعام بنی اسرا ئیلیوں کے خلاف لڑنا چا ہا وہ اپنی بادشاہت واپس لینا چا ہتا تھا۔ 22 لیکن خداوند نے خدا کے ایک آدمی سے بات کی۔ اس کا نام سمعیاہ تھا۔ خداوند نے کہا ، 23 “سلیمان کے بیٹے رحُبعام جو یہوداہ کا بادشاہ ہے اور تمام یہوداہ اور بنیمین کے لوگوں سے بات کرو۔
4 ان سے کہو ، ’ خداوند کہتا ہے تمہیں اپنے بھا ئیوں کے خلاف جنگ پر نہیں جانا چا ہئے تم میں سے ہر ایک کو گھر لوٹ جانا ہو گا میں نے ہی ان واقعات کو ہو نے دیا۔” اس لئے رحُبعام کی فوج کے آدمیوں نے خداوند کے احکامات کی اطاعت کی وہ سب واپس گھر گئے۔
My point of view about above verses
When Rehoboam gathered all Judah and tribe of Benjamin 180,000 able young men to fight against Israel but God told them don’t go for it as this thing is from my side so they obeyed Lord
God choose us to work for Him and when we finish our work, He considers it and bless and if we turned away- He departs from our lives and raised enemies against us - who make our lives hell - however He is faitful God and keeps his promises with the generations to come and its Him who changes the hearts of people to do His will
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
