2 Kings ; Chapter 21 verse 10- 16
10 The Lord said through his servants the prophets: 11 “Manasseh king of Judah has committed these detestable sins. He has done more evil than the Amorites who preceded him and has led Judah into sin with his idols. 12 Therefore this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I am going to bring such disaster on Jerusalem and Judah that the ears of everyone who hears of it will tingle. 13 I will stretch out over Jerusalem the measuring line used against Samaria and the plumb line used against the house of Ahab. I will wipe out Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down. 14 I will forsake the remnant of my inheritance and give them into the hands of enemies. They will be looted and plundered by all their enemies; 15 they have done evil in my eyes and have aroused my anger from the day their ancestors came out of Egypt until this day.”
16 Moreover, Manasseh also shed so much innocent blood that he filled Jerusalem from end to end—besides the sin that he had caused Judah to commit, so that they did evil in the eyes of the Lord.
10 خدا وند نے اپنے خادم نبیو ں کو یہ باتیں کہنے کے لئے استعمال کیا 11 “یہوداہ کے بادشاہ منسی نے نفرت انگیز کام کئے اور اموریوں سے زیادہ برے کام اس کے سامنے کئے۔ منسی نے بتوں کی وجہ سے یہوداہ کے لوگوں سے گناہ کروائے۔ 12 ا س لئے اسرائیل کا خدا وندکہتا ہے، “دیکھو میں اتنی زیادہ مصیبت یروشلم اور یہوداہ پر لاؤنگا کہ کوئی بھی سُنے گا تو دہل جائے گا۔ 13 میں یروشلم کی اسی پیمانہ کی لکیر سے انصاف کروں گا جس سے میں نے سماریہ کا کیا تھا اور انصاف اسی ساہول کی ، ڈوری سے کروں گا جس سے میں نے اخی اب کی نسل کا کیا تھا۔ میں یروشلم کو اسی طرح سے پونچھ لونگا جس طرح سے کوئی طشتری کو پونچھ کر اسے الٹ دیتا ہے۔ 14 وہاں پر پھر بھی میرے کچھ آدمی بچے رہیں گے لیکن میں ان آدمیوں کو چھو ڑ دونگا میں انہیں ان کے دشمنوں کے حوالے کردونگا ان کے دشمن انہیں قیدی بنائیں گے۔ وہ ان قیمتی چیزوں کی طرح ہونگے جو سپاہی جنگ میں حاصل کرتے ہیں۔ 15 کیوں ؟ کہ میرے لوگوں نے وہ چیزیں کی ہیں جسے میں نے برا کہا تھا۔ انہوں نے مجھے اس دن سے غصہ میں لایا جس دن سے ان کے آباؤ اجداد مصر سے باہر آئے۔ 16 اور منسی نے کتنے ہی بے گناہ لوگوں کو مار ڈا لا اس نے یروشلم کو ایک کونے سے دوسرے کونے تک خون سے بھر دیا۔ اور وہ تمام گناہ ان لوگوں سے زیادہ ہیں جو اس نے یہوداہ سے کروایا۔ منسی نے یہوداہ سے وہ چیزیں کروائیں جسے خدا وند نے برا کہا تھا۔‘”
My point of view about above verses
Manasseh, Hezekiah son carved Asherah pole and place it in the temple for which the Lord told David and his son Solomon, I will put my name forever if they will be careful to obey my commands I gave through Moses
The Lord God got angry because of idols Manasseh put in temple so he said I will wipe out Jerusalem and Judah – I will forsake the remnant of my inheritance and give them into the hands of enemies – they will be looted and plundered
AS they did not listen so God forsake them
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
