2 Chronicles ; Chapter 7 verse 19-22
The Lord Appears to Solomon
19 “But if you turn away and forsake the decrees and commands I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them, 20 then I will uproot Israel from my land, which I have given them, and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples. 21 This temple will become a heap of rubble. All who pass by will be appalled and say, ‘Why has the Lord done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’ 22 People will answer, ‘Because they have forsaken the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who brought them out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them—that is why he brought all this disaster on them.’”
خدا وند کا سلیمان کے پاس آنا
19 “لیکن تم اگر میری شریعتوں اور احکامات کو نہ مانو گے جو میں نے دیئے ہیں اور تم دوسرے دیوتاؤں کی پرستش اور خدمت کرو گے۔ 20 تو میں بنی اسرائیلیوں کو اپنے ملک سے باہر کروں گا جسے میں نے انہیں دیا ہے۔ میں اس گھر کو اپنی نظروں سے دور کردونگا جسے میں نے اپنے نام کے لئے مقدس بنایا ہے۔ میں اس ہیکل کو ایسا بناؤنگا کہ تما م ملک اس کی برائی کریں گے۔ 21 ہر آدمی جو اس ہیکل کے بغل سے گزرے گا جس کا مرتبہ بلند کیا گیا ہے حیرت زدہ ہوگا اور کہے گا ، ’ خدا وند نے ایسا بھیانک کام اس ملک اور اس ہیکل کے ساتھ کیوں کیا ؟ ‘ 22 تب لوگ جواب دیں گے ، ’ کیوں کہ بنی اسرائیلیوں نے خدا وند خدا جس کے احکام کی خلاف ورزی کی جب کہ انکے آباؤ اجداد نے انکی اطاعت کی تھی وہ وہی خدا ہے جو انہیں ملک مصر کے باہر لے آیا لیکن بنی اسرائیلیوں نے دوسرے دیوتاؤں کی پرستش اور خدمت کی یہی وجہ ہے کہ خدا وند نے بنی اسرائیلیوں پر اتنی بھیانک مصیبت نازل کی۔ ”
My point of view about above verses
God heard Solomon prayer and said I have chosen this place for myself as a temple for sacrifice
God told Solomon when I closed rains or brought famine on ground but if my people humble themselves and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear them and forgive them and heal their land – all prayers which are offered at this temple will be heard as I have chosen this temple for my name forever. My eyes and heart will always be there
God told Solomon if you observe my commands and decrees and walk before me faithfully – your throne will be established on Israelites forever but
God said if you will not observe my commands and decrees I will uproot Israelites and reject this temple and I will bring all disaster on you
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
