2 Chronicles ; Chapter 10 verse 12-15
12 Three days later Jeroboam and all the people returned to Rehoboam, as the king had said, “Come back to me in three days.” 13 The king answered them harshly. Rejecting the advice of the elders, 14 he followed the advice of the young men and said, “My father made your yoke heavy; I will make it even heavier. My father scourged you with whips; I will scourge you with scorpions.” 15 So the king did not listen to the people, for this turn of events was from God, to fulfill the word the Lord had spoken to Jeroboam son of Nebat through Ahijah the Shilonite
12 بادشاہ رحبعام نے کہا ، “تیسرے دن واپس آنا۔” تیسرے دن یر بعام اور سب اسرائیلی رعایا بادشاہ رحبعام کے پاس آئے۔ 13 تب بادشاہ رحبعام نے ان سے حقارت سے بات کی بادشاہ رحبعام نے بزر گ لوگوں کے مشوروں کو نہیں مانا۔ 14 بادشاہ رحبعام نے لوگوں سے ویسی ہی بات کی جیسا نو جوانوں نے مشورہ دیا تھا۔ اس نے کہا ، “میرے باپ نے تمہارے بوجھ کو بھا ری کیا تھا لیکن میں اسے اور زیادہ بھا ری کروں گا۔ میرے باپ نے تم پر کو ڑے لگا نے کی سزا دی تھی۔ لیکن میں ایسے کو ڑے سے سزادوں گا جنکے سروں پر تیز دھات کے ٹکڑے لگے ہوں گے۔” 15 اس طرح بادشاہ رحبعام نے لوگوں کی ایک نہ سنی۔ اس نے لوگوں کی ایک نہ سنی کیوں کہ یہ تبدیلی خدا کی طرف سے آئی تھی۔ خدا نے ایسا ہو نے دیا ایسا اس لئے ہوا تا کہ خدا وند اپنے اس وعدہ کو پورا کر سکے جو انہوں نے اخیاہ کے ذریعہ یُر بعام کو کہا تھا۔ اخیاہ شیلاہ کے لوگوں میں سے تھا۔ اور یُر بعام نباط کا بیٹا تھا۔
My point of view about above verses
Rehoboam did not listen the advice of elders but younger people as it was from God side
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
