2 Chronicles ; Chapter 12 verse 6-
Shishak Attacks Jerusalem
6 The leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said, “The Lord is just.”
7 When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, this word of the Lord came to Shemaiah: “Since they have humbled themselves, I will not destroy them but will soon give them deliverance. My wrath will not be poured out on Jerusalem through Shishak. 8 They will, however, become subject to him, so that they may learn the difference between serving me and serving the kings of other lands.”
6 تب یہوداہ کے قائدین اور بادشا ہ رحبعام نے اپنی غلطیوں کو محسوس کیا اور اپنے آپ کو خاکسار بنایا۔انہوں نے کہا، “خداوندصحیح ہے۔” 7 جب خداوند نے بادشا ہ یہوداہ کے قائدین کی فرمانبرداری کو دیکھا تو وہ سمعیاہ کے پاس پیغام بھیجا۔خداوند نے سمعیاہ سے کہا، “بادشاہ اور قائدین نے اپنے آپ کو فرمانبردار بنایا ہے۔ اس لئے میں انہیں تباہ نہیں کروں گا لیکن میں انہیں جلد ہی بچا ؤں گا۔میں یروشلم پر اپنا غصّہ اتار نے کے لئے سیسق کو استعمال نہیں کروں گا۔ 8 لیکن یروشلم کے لوگ سیسق کے خادم ہوں گے ایسا ہو گا تاکہ وہ جان جا ئیں کہ میری خدمت کرنا دوسری قوموں کے بادشا ہ کی خدمت سے الگ ہے۔”
My point of view about above verses
When Israelites abandoned Lord during Rehoboam reign so Egypt king attacked them and Lord said I now abandon you to Shishak – king of Egypt
If we abondon God - GOD ALSO ABONDON US
Leaders of Israel humbled themselves so God said I will not deliver to king of Egypt as they humbled themselves – my wrath will not be on Jerusalem through king of Egypt- they will however subject to him so that they may learn the difference of serving me and serving kings of other lands
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
