9 سیسق نے یروشلم پر حملہ کیا اور خداوند کی ہیکل میں جو خزانہ تھا لے لیا۔ سیسق مصر کا بادشا ہ تھا۔ اور اس نے وہ خزانوں کو بھی لیا جو بادشا ہ کے محل میں تھا سیسق نے ہر چیز اور خزانہ لےلیا۔ اس نے سونے کی ڈھالوں کو بھی لے لیا جو سلیمان نے بنوا ئی تھیں۔ 10 بادشا ہ رحبعام نے سونے کی ڈھالوں کی جگہ کانسے کی ڈھالیں بنوا ئیں رحبعام نے کانسے کی ڈھالوں کو سپہ سالاروں کو دیا جو بادشا ہ کے محل کے داخلے کی حفاظت کے ذمّہ دار تھے۔ 11 جب بادشا ہ خداوند کی ہیکل میں داخل ہوا تو محافظ کانسے کی ڈھالوں کو لایا اور پھر اسے محافظ خانہ میں رکھ دیا۔ 12 جب رحبعام اپنی فرمانبرداری کو ظاہر کیا تو خداوند نے رحبعام سے اپنا غصّہ دور کردیا اس لئے خداوند نے پورے طور پر رحبعام کو تباہ نہیں کیا۔یہوداہ میں بھی کچھ اچھا ئیا ں [a]تھیں۔
My point of view about above verses
When Israelites abandoned Lord during Rehoboam reign so Egypt king attacked them and Lord said I now abandon you to Shishak – king of Egypt
If we abondon God - GOD ALSO ABONDON US
Leaders of Israel humbled themselves so God said I will not deliver to king of Egypt as they humbled themselves – my wrath will not be on Jerusalem through king of Egypt- they will however subject to him so that they may learn the difference of serving me and serving kings of other lands
Although king of Egypt carried off the treasures of temple of the Lord and royal palace but Lord’s anger turned from Rehoboam and he was not totally destroyed as he humbled himself before Lord
God is merciful
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
