2 Chronicles ; Chapter 12 verse 13 - 14
13 King Rehoboam established himself firmly in Jerusalem and continued as king. He was forty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel in which to put his Name. His mother’s name was Naamah; she was an Ammonite. 14 He did evil because he had not set his heart on seeking the Lord.
3 بادشاہ رحبعام نے یروشلم میں خود کو طاقتور بادشا ہ بنالیا۔ وہ اس وقت اکتا لیس سال کا تھا جب وہ بادشا ہ ہوا تھا۔رحبعام یروشلم میں سترہ سال کے لئے بادشا ہ رہا۔ یروشلم وہ شہر ہے جسے خداوند نے اسرائیل کے تمام خاندانی گروہوں سے چُنا۔ خداوند نے اپنا نام یروشلم میں رکھنے کے لئے چُنا۔ رحبعام کی ماں نعمہ تھی۔ نعمہ ملک عمون کی تھی۔ 14 رحبعام نے اس لئے بُرے کام کئے کیوں کہ وہ اپنے دِل سے خداوند کی خواہشات کو تلاش کرنے کا فیصلہ نہیں کیا تھا۔
My point of view about above verses
God chosen Jerusalem – the city of Lord to put his name there
Sometimes God chooses places to glorify His name there
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
