2 Chronicles ; Chapter 20 verse 14-17
Jehoshaphat Defeats Moab and Ammon
14 Then the Spirit of the Lord came on Jahaziel son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite and descendant of Asaph, as he stood in the assembly.
Lord spirit answered prayers of Jehoshaphat and all those standing with him as follows
15 He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16 Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel. 17 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you
تب خدا وند کی روح یحزی ایل پر آئی۔ یحزی ایل زکریاہ کا بیٹا تھا۔ زکریاہ بنایاہ کا بیٹا تھا۔ بنا یاہ یعی ایل کا بیٹا تھا۔ اور یعی ایل متنیاہ کا بیٹا تھا۔ یحزی ایل لاوی تھا اور آسف کی نسل سے تھا۔ مجلس کے درمیان ، 15 یحزی ایل نے کہا ، “بادشاہ یہو سفط ، یہوداہ اور یروشلم میں رہنے والے لوگو! میری بات سنو ! خدا وند تم سے کہتا ہے ، ’ تم اس بڑی فوج سے نہ ڈرو کیوں کہ اصل میں یہ جنگ تمہاری نہیں خدا کی جنگ ہے۔ 16 کل تم وہاں جاؤ اور ان لوگوں سے لڑو۔ وہ صیص کے درّوں سے آئیں گے۔ تم انہیں وادی کے آخری حصہ میں یرویل کے ریگستان کے دوسری جانب پاؤ گے۔ 17 اس جنگ میں تمہیں لڑ نے کی ضرورت نہیں اپنی جگہوں پر مضبوطی سے کھڑے رہو۔ تم دیکھو گے کہ خدا وند تمہیں بچائے گا۔ یہوداہ اور یروشلم ڈ رو مت فکر نہ کرو۔ خدا وند تمہارے ساتھ ہے اِس لئے کل ان لوگوں کے خلاف باہر جاؤ۔”‘
My point of view about above verses
Lord was with Jehosaphat as he followed the ways of his father David and obeyed God’s commands and decrees
God's people seek help from God in situations of distress - They cry for help and God listens to His people
God fights for His people
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
