2 Chronicles ; Chapter 21 verse 4-7
Jehoram King of Judah
4 When Jehoram established himself firmly over his father’s kingdom, he put all his brothers to the sword along with some of the officials of Israel. 5 Jehoram was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years. 6 He followed the ways of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab had done, for he married a daughter of Ahab. He did evil in the eyes of the Lord. 7 Nevertheless, because of the covenant the Lord had made with David, the Lord was not willing to destroy the house of David. He had promised to maintain a lamp for him and his descendants forever.
Iہو رام یہوداہ کا بادشاہ
4 یہورام نے اپنے باپ کی بادشاہت حاصل کی اور اس کو طاقتور بنایا۔ تب اس نے اپنے تمام بھائیوں کو اور اسرائیل کے کچھ قائدین کو بھی تلوار سے مار ڈا لا۔ 5 یہورام نےجب حکو مت کی اس کی عمر ۳۲ سال تھی اس نے یروشلم میں آٹھ سال حکو مت کی۔ 6 وہ اسی طرح رہا جس طرح اسرائیل کے بادشاہ رہے تھے۔ وہ اسی طرح رہا جیسے اخی اب کا خاندان رہا کیوں کہ اس نے اخی اب کی بیٹی سے شا دی کی تھی۔ اور یہورام نے خدا وند کی نظروں میں برائی کی۔ 7 لیکن خدا وند نے داؤد کے خاندان کو تباہ نہیں کرنا چاہا۔ کیوں کہ خدا وند نے داؤد کے ساتھ معاہدہ کیا تھا۔ خدا وند نے وعدہ کیا تھا کہ داؤد اور اسکی اولاد کے لئے ایک چراغ ہمیشہ جلتا رہے گا۔
My point of view about above verses
n spite of evils done by Israelites, the Lord was not willing to destroy the house of David as he had promised to maintain a lamp for him and his descendants forever
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
