 Jeremiah 34, verse 12-14

Freedom for Slaves

¹² Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: ¹³ “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I made a covenant with your ancestors when I brought them out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. I said, ¹⁴ ‘Every seventh year each of you must free any fellow Hebrews who have sold themselves to you. After they have served you six years, you must let them go free.Your ancestors, however, did not listen to me or pay attention to me. 

غُلاموں سے فریب

¹² تب خداوند کا کلام یرمیاہ پر ناز ل ہوا ۔

¹³ بنی اسرائیلیوں کا خداوند خدا فرما تا ہے : " اے یرمیاہ میں تمہا رے با پ دادا کو مصر سے با ہر لا یا جہاں وہ غلام تھے ۔ جب میں نے ایسا کیا تب میں نے ان سے ایک معاہدہ کیا ۔

¹⁴ میں نے تمہا رے با پ دادا سے کہا کہ تم میں سے ہر ایک اپنی عبرانی بھا ئی کو جسے کہ اس کے ہا تھ بیچا گیا ہے سات برس کے آخر میں یعنی جب وہ چھ برس تک خدمت کر چکے تو آزا د کردو ۔ لیکن تمہا رے با پ دادا نے میری نہ سنی اور کان نہ لگایا ۔ 

My point of view about above verses

God told Jeremiah that tell king Zedekiah to make a covenant with Israelites that they have to free their Hebrew slaves whether male or female – so people did this but after some time they change their minds.

God told Jeremiah that when I bring out Israelites from land of Egypt, where they were slaves - I told them they have to free their Hebrew slaves after 6 year of service - but they did not listen to me 

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
