Job ; Chapter 2, verse 4-6
4 “Skin for skin!” Satan replied. “A man will give all he has for his own life. 5 But now stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
6 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.”
My point of view about above verses
God asked Satan did you observe my servant Job, there is no one on earth like him – he is blameless and upright – a man who fears God and avoids evil
Satan told God – Job is faithful to you as you are protecting him – remove this shield and he will curse you on your face – God permit him to do anything to Job except don’t lay a finger on him
Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
God asked Satan where have you come from
God asked Satan did you observe Job, there is no one like him on earth – he is blameless and upright – a man who fears God and shuns evil and he still maintains his integrity – though you incited me to ruin him
Satan told God since you are not letting me harm him – A man can do anything to save his life – So God told him do whatever you want to do to him but spare his life
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
