 Ezekiel 2, verse 3-8

Ezekiel’s Call to Be a Prophet

³ He said: “Son of man, I am sending you to the Israelites, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me; they and their ancestors have been in revolt against me to this very day. ⁴ The people to whom I am sending you are obstinate and stubborn. Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says.’ ⁵ And whether they listen or fail to listen—for they are a rebellious people—they will know that a prophet has been among them. ⁶ And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or be terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people.

⁷ You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious. ⁸ But you, son of man, listen to what I say to you. Do not rebel like that rebellious people; open your mouth and eat what I give you.”

3چُنانچہ اُس نے مُجھ سے کہا اَے آدمؔ زاد مَیں تُجھے بنی اِسرائیل کے پاس یعنی اُس باغی قَوم کے پاس جِس نے مُجھ سے بغاوت کی ہے بھیجتا ہُوں وہ اور اُن کے باپ دادا آج کے دِن تک میرے گُنہگار ہوتے آئے ہیں۔ 4کیونکہ جِن کے پاس مَیں تُجھ کو بھیجتا ہُوں وہ سخت دِل اور بے حیا فرزند ہیں۔ تُو اُن سے کہنا کہ خُداوند خُدا یُوں فرماتا ہے۔ 5پس خواہ وہ سُنیں یا نہ سُنیں (کیونکہ وہ تو سرکش خاندان ہیں) تَو بھی اِتنا تو ہو گا کہ وہ جانیں گے کہ اُن میں ایک نبی برپا ہُؤا۔

6اور تُو اَے آدمؔ زاد اُن سے ہِراسان نہ ہو اور اُن کی باتوں سے نہ ڈر۔ ہر چند تُو اُونٹ کٹاروں اور کانٹوں سے گھِرا ہے اور بِچھُّوؤں کے درمِیان رہتا ہے۔ اُن کی باتوں سے ترسان نہ ہو اور اُن کے چِہروں سے نہ گھبرا اگرچہ وہ باغی خاندان ہیں۔

7پس تُو میری باتیں اُن سے کہنا خواہ وہ سُنیں خواہ نہ سُنیں کیونکہ وہ نِہایت باغی ہیں۔

8لیکن اَے آدمؔ زاد تُو میرا کلام سُن۔ تو اُس سرکش خاندان کی مانِند سرکشی نہ کر۔ اپنا مُنہ کھول اور جو کُچھ مَیں تُجھے دیتا ہُوں کھا لے۔

My point of view about above verses

God told Ezekiel that I am  sending you to Israelites as a prophet, a nation that has rebelled against me from the very beginning till today, Don’t be afraid from them and you have to speak my words whether they listen or not as they are rebellious people. Open your mouth and eat what I give you.

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
