Leviticus 24 verse 10-16
A Blasphemer Put to Death
10 Now the son of an Israelite mother and an Egyptian father went out among the Israelites, and a fight broke out in the camp between him and an Israelite. 11 The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name with a curse; so they brought him to Moses. (His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri the Danite.) 12 They put him in custody until the will of the Lord should be made clear to them.
13 Then the Lord said to Moses: 14 “Take the blasphemer outside the camp. All those who heard him are to lay their hands on his head, and the entire assembly is to stone him. 15 Say to the Israelites: ‘Anyone who curses their God will be held responsible; 16 anyone who blasphemes the name of the Lord is to be put to death. The entire assembly must stone them. Whether foreigner or native-born, when they blaspheme the Name they are to be put to death.
10)اور ایک اِسرائیلی عَورت کا بیٹا جِس کا باپ مِصری تھا اِسرائیلِیوں کے بیچ چلا گیا اور وہ اِسرائیلی عَورت کا بیٹا اور ایک اِسرائیلی لشکرگاہ میں آپس میں مار پِیٹ کرنے لگے۔
(11)اور اِسرائیلی عَورت کے بیٹے نے پاک نام پر کُفربکا اور لَعنت کی ۔ تب لوگ اُسے مُوسیٰ کے پاس لے گئے ۔ اُس کی ماں کا نام سلومِیت تھا جو د ِبری کی بیٹی تھی جو دان کے قبِیلہ کا تھا۔
(12)اور اُنہوں نے اُسے حوالات میں ڈال دِیا تاکہ خُداوند کی جانب سے اِس بات کا فَیصلہ اُن پر ظاہِر کِیا جائے۔
(13)تب خُداوند نے مُوسیٰ سے کہا کہ۔
(14)اُس لَعنت کرنے والے کو لشکرگاہ کے باہر نِکال کر لے جا اور جِتنوں نے اُسے لَعنت کرتے سُنا وہ سب اپنے اپنے ہاتھ اُس کے سر پر رکھّیں اور ساری جماعت اُسے سنگسار کرے۔
(15)اور تُو بنی اِسرائیل سے کہہ دے کہ جو کوئی اپنے خُدا پر لَعنت کرے اُس کا گُناہ اُسی کے سر لگے گا۔
My point of view about above verses
The incident mentioned in above verses tells that God does not want that even a foreigner living among Israelite blaspheme / insult his name. Jewish people not pronounce God name and only use G-D or the name and don't write it on papers even as if paper destroyed it could be considered as blasphemy.
Israelite kept the person who is mixed blood (an Israelite woman and Egyptian men) to fulfill the standards of justice as Israelite law does not apply on foreigners - But when God command came - He told them to stone the man but before that all who listened him cursing put their hands on his head
Look how God is involving them in decision making process - He who is all knowing leave this decision on them - so they and we all become perfect in making decisions as per laws God has given
God wants his people to built a relationship with him and serve him on daily basis
We need to live in this world as God wants us to live - we have to do what he is telling us to do- as there is
rejoicing in obeying Him
May God inclined us to obey his words to lead our lives the way God wants us to live on this earth -
