Numbers 1 ; verse 48 -53
48 The Lord had said to Moses: 49 “You must not count the tribe of Levi or include them in the census of the other Israelites. 50 Instead, appoint the Levites to be in charge of the tabernacle of the covenant law—over all its furnishings and everything belonging to it. They are to carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; they are to take care of it and encamp around it. 51 Whenever the tabernacle is to move, the Levites are to take it down, and whenever the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall do it. Anyone else who approaches it is to be put to death. 52 The Israelites are to set up their tents by divisions, each of them in their own camp under their standard. 53 The Levites, however, are to set up their tents around the tabernacle of the covenant law so that my wrath will not fall on the Israelite community. The Levites are to be responsible for the care of the tabernacle of the covenant law.”
48)کیونکہ خُداوند نے مُوسیٰ سے کہا تھا کہ۔
(49)تُو لاوِیوں کے قبِیلہ کو نہ گِننا اور نہ بنی اِسرائیل کے شُمار میں اُن کا شُمار داخِل کرنا۔
(50)بلکہ تُو لاوِیوں کو شہادت کے مسکن اور اُس کے سب ظُروف اور اُس کے سب لوازِم کے مُتولّی مُقرّر کرنا ۔ وُہی مسکن اور اُس کے سب ظُروف کو اُٹھایا کریں اور وُہی اُس میں خِدمت بھی کریں اور مسکن کے آس پاس وُہی اپنے ڈیرے لگایا کریں۔
(51)اور جب مسکن کو آگے روانہ کرنے کا وقت ہو تو لاوی اُسے اُتاریں اور جب مسکن کو لگانے کا وقت ہو تو لاوی اُسے کھڑا کریں اور اگر کوئی اجنبی شخص اُس کے نزدِیک آئے تو وہ جان سے مارا جائے۔
(52)اور بنی اِسرائیل اپنے اپنے دَل کے مُطابِق اپنی اپنی چھاؤنی اور اپنے اپنے جھنڈے کے پاس اپنے اپنے ڈیرے ڈالیں۔
(53)لیکن لاوی شہادت کے مسکن کے گِرداگِرد ڈیرے لگائیں تاکہ بنی اِسرائیل کی جماعت پر غضب نہ ہو اور لاوی ہی شہادت کے مسکن کی نِگہبانی کریں
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses in Mount Sinai after one year of their exodus / departure from Egypt to count all Israelite by tribes - He told him and Aaron to count all men of 20 years and above - they are those who able to go war - he also told the names of head of the families from each tribe who will assist Moses for this census / work
Census is taken for 12 tribes - two tribes are from Joseph clan and tribe of Levi is excluded as they are selected to work for tabernacle
God told that tribe of Levites is to take care of tabernacle and they should en-camp near the tabernacle - their men will not go for war but they will perform specific duty for God - He said no other person is allowed to perform duty in tabernacle or around it
God tells them that how to organize themselves to achieve the goals - He is organized God and want us to organize our lives as per his laws
Let God give us wisdom to understand his word and apply it in our lives
