Numbers 4 ; verse 16 - 20
The Kohathites
16 “Eleazar son of Aaron, the priest, is to have charge of the oil for the light, the fragrant incense, the regular grain offering and the anointing oil. He is to be in charge of the entire tabernacle and everything in it, including its holy furnishings and articles.”
17 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 18 “See that the Kohathite tribal clans are not destroyed from among the Levites. 19 So that they may live and not die when they come near the most holy things, do this for them: Aaron and his sons are to go into the sanctuary and assign to each man his work and what he is to carry. 20 But the Kohathites must not go in to look at the holy things, even for a moment, or they will die.”
(16)اور رَوشنی کے تیل اور خُوشبُودار بخُور اور دائِمی نذر کی قُربانی اور مَسح کرنے کے تیل اور سارے مسکن اور اُس کے لوازِم کی اور مَقدِس اور اُس کے سامان کی نِگہبانی ہارُون کاہِن کے بیٹے الیِعزر کے ذِمّہ ہو۔
(17)اور خُداوند نے مُوسیٰ اور ہارُون سے کہا کہ۔
(18)تُم لاوِیوں میں سے قہاتیوں کے قبِیلہ کے خاندانوں کو مُنقطع ہونے نہ دینا۔
(19)بلکہ اِس مقصُود سے کہ جب وہ پاکترین چِیزوں کے پاس آئیں تو جِیتے رہیں اور مَر نہ جائیں تُم اُن کے لِئے اَیسا کرنا کہ ہارُون اور اُس کے بیٹے اندر آ کر اُن میں سے ایک ایک کا کام اور بوجھ مُقرّر کر دیں۔
(20)لیکن وہ مَقدِس کو دیکھنے کی خاطِر دَم بھر کے لِئے بھی اندر نہ آنے پائیں تا نہ ہو کہ وہ مَر جائیں۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses to count all men who are 30 years and above till 50 years of age of Kohathites clan of Levites to perform duties for tent of meeting - However Aaron and his sons has to go inside the most holy place -
Aaron and his sons to pack all furnishings of most holy place in a way told by God himself and then the Kohathites has to carry them through poles to travel and not to touch holy things as if they do so - they will die - so Aaron and his sons has to look that the clan of Kohathites shall not vanished
Eleazar the eldest surviving son of Aaron is in charge of Kohathites
God assigned specific duties to people - we need to perform those in that specific way to make him happy
Let God give us wisdom to understand his word and apply it in our lives
