Numbers 4 ; verse 21-28
The Gershonites
21 The Lord said to Moses, 22 “Take a census also of the Gershonites by their families and clans. 23 Count all the men from thirty to fifty years of age who come to serve in the work at the tent of meeting.
24 “This is the service of the Gershonite clans in their carrying and their other work: 25 They are to carry the curtains of the tabernacle, that is, the tent of meeting, its covering and its outer covering of durable leather, the curtains for the entrance to the tent of meeting, 26 the curtains of the courtyard surrounding the tabernacle and altar, the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard, the ropes and all the equipment used in the service of the tent. The Gershonites are to do all that needs to be done with these things. 27 All their service, whether carrying or doing other work, is to be done under the direction of Aaron and his sons. You shall assign to them as their responsibility all they are to carry. 28 This is the service of the Gershonite clans at the tent of meeting. Their duties are to be under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron, the priest.
(21)پِھر خُداوند نے مُوسیٰ سے کہا۔
(22)بنی جیرسون میں سے بھی اُن کے آبائی خاندانوں اور گھرانوں کے مُطابِق۔
(23)تِیس برس سے لے کر پچاس برس تک کی عُمر کے جِتنے خَیمۂِ اِجتماع میں کام کرنے کے لِئے مَقدِس کی خِدمت کے وقت حاضِر رہتے ہیں اُن سبھوں کو گِن۔
(24)جیرسونیوں کے خاندانوں کا کام خِدمت کرنے اور بوجھ اُٹھانے کا ہے۔
(25)وہ مسکن کے پردوں کو اور خَیمۂِ اِجتماع اور اُس کے غِلاف کو اور اُس کے اُوپر کے غِلاف کو جو تُخس کی کھالوں کا ہے اور خَیمۂِ اِجتماع کے دروازہ کے پردہ کو۔
(26)اور مسکن اور مذبح کے گِرداگِرد کے صحن کے پردوں کو اور صحن کے دروازہ کے پردہ کو اور اُن کی رسِّیوں کو اور خِدمت کے سب ظُروف کو اُٹھایا کریں اور اِن چِیزوں سے جو جو کام لِیا جاتا ہے وہ بھی یِہی لوگ کِیا کریں۔
(27)جیرسونیوں کی اَولاد کا خِدمت کرنے اور بوجھ اُٹھانے کا سارا کام ہارُون اور اُس کے بیٹوں کے حُکم کے مُطابِق ہو اور تُم اُن میں سے ہر ایک کا بوجھ مُقرّر کر کے اُن کے سپُرد کرنا۔
(28)خَیمۂِ اِجتماع میں بنی جیرسون کے خاندانوں کا یِہی کام رہے اور وہ ہارُون کاہِن کے بیٹے اِتمر کے ماتحت ہو کر خِدمت کریں۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses to count all men who are 30 years and above till 50 years of age of Gershonites clan of Levites to perform duties for tent of meeting - However Aaron and his sons has to go inside the most holy place -
Gershonites has to carry curtains and its related accessories of tent of meeting as per direction of Aaron and his sons - They will work under Ithamar - son of Araon
God assigned specific duties to people as per their age even - we need to perform those in that specific way to make him happy
Let God give us wisdom to understand his word and apply it in our lives
