Numbers 5 ; verse 5- 10
Restitution for Wrongs
5 The Lord said to Moses, 6 “Say to the Israelites: ‘Any man or woman who wrongs another in any way and so is unfaithful to the Lord is guilty 7 and must confess the sin they have committed. They must make full restitution for the wrong they have done, add a fifth of the value to it and give it all to the person they have wronged. 8 But if that person has no close relative to whom restitution can be made for the wrong, the restitution belongs to the Lord and must be given to the priest, along with the ram with which atonement is made for the wrongdoer. 9 All the sacred contributions the Israelites bring to a priest will belong to him. 10 Sacred things belong to their owners, but what they give to the priest will belong to the priest.’”
(5)اور خُداوند نے مُوسیٰ سے کہا کہ۔
(6)بنی اِسرائیل سے کہہ کہ اگر کوئی مَرد یا عَورت خُداوند کی حُکم عدُولی کر کے کوئی اَیسا گُناہ کرے جو آدمی کرتے ہیں اور قصُوروار ہو جائے۔
(7)تو جو گُناہ اُس نے کِیا ہے وہ اُس کا اِقرار کرے اور اپنی تقصِیر کے مُعاوضہ میں پُورا دام اور اُس میں اُس کا پانچواں حِصّہ اَور مِلا کر اُس شخص کو دے جِس کا اُس نے قصُور کِیا ہے۔
(8)لیکن اگر اُس شخص کا کوئی رِشتہ دار نہ ہو جِسے اُس تقصِیر کا مُعاوضہ دِیا جائے تو تقصِیر کا جو مُعاوضہ خُداوند کو دِیا جائے وہ کاہِن کا ہو ۔ علاوہ کفّارہ کے اُس مینڈھے کے جِس سے اُس کا کفّارہ دِیا جائے۔
(9)اور جِتنی مُقدّس چِیزیں بنی اِسرائیل اُٹھانے کی قُربانی کے طَور پر کاہِن کے پاس لائیں وہ اُسی کی ہوں۔
(10)اور ہر شخص کی مُقدّ ّس کی ہُوئی چِیزیں اُس کی ہوں اور جو چِیز کوئی شخص کاہِن کو دے وہ بھی اُسی کی ہو۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses tell Israelite that if anyone does something wrong to another fellow Israelite - He has to compensate the person by paying one fifth more of the value of that thing - and if the person is dead whom the wrong has peen done then the payment has to be made to his close relative and if he is also dead then compensation along with bull offered belongs to priest on behalf of Lord
A person who offers sacrifice for compensation has a share in offered things - so some part belongs to priest and some to Offerer - represents a fellowship with the Lord
Let God give us wisdom to understand his word and apply it in our lives
