Numbers 5 ; verse 23- 28
23 “‘The priest is to write these curses on a scroll and then wash them off into the bitter water. 24 He shall make the woman drink the bitter water that brings a curse, and this water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering will enter her. 25 The priest is to take from her hands the grain offering for jealousy, wave it before the Lord and bring it to the altar. 26 The priest is then to take a handful of the grain offering as a memorial offering and burn it on the altar; after that, he is to have the woman drink the water. 27 If she has made herself impure and been unfaithful to her husband, this will be the result: When she is made to drink the water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering, it will enter her, her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry, and she will become a curse. 28 If, however, the woman has not made herself impure, but is clean, she will be cleared of guilt and will be able to have children.
(23)پِھر کاہِن اُن لَعنتوں کو کِسی کِتاب میں لِکھ کر اُن کو اُسی کڑوے پانی میں دھو ڈالے۔
(24)اور وہ کڑوا پانی جو لَعنت کو لاتا ہے اُس عَورت کو پِلائے اور وہ پانی جو لَعنت کو لاتا ہے اُس عَورت کے پیٹ میں جا کر کڑوا ہو جائے گا۔
(25)اور کاہِن اُس عَورت کے ہاتھ سے غَیرت کی نذر کی قُربانی کو لے کر خُداوند کے حضُور اُس کو ہِلائے اور اُسے مذبح کے پاس لائے۔
(26)پِھر کاہِن اُس نذر کی قُربانی میں سے اُس کی یادگاری کے طَور پر ایک مُٹّھی لے کر اُسے مذبح پر جلائے بعد اُس کے وہ پانی اُس عَورت کو پِلائے۔
(27)اور جب وہ اُسے وہ پانی پِلا چُکے گا تو اَیسا ہو گا کہ اگر وہ ناپاک ہُوئی اور اُس نے اپنے شَوہر سے بے وفائی کی تو وہ پانی جو لَعنت کو لاتا ہے اُس کے پیٹ میں جا کر کڑوا ہو جائے گا اور اُس کا پیٹ پُھول جائے گا اور اُس کی ران سڑ جائے گی اور وہ عَورت اپنی قَوم میں لَعنت کا نِشانہ بنے گی۔
(28)پر اگر وہ ناپاک نہیں ہُوئی بلکہ پاک ہے تو بے اِلزام ٹھہرے گی اور اُس سے اَولاد ہو گی۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses tell Israelite that if a married women commit adultery and became impure and her husband has developed a feeling of jealousy - Then he has to bring her before priest with grain offering without oil and frankincense which makes the offering sweet -
This offering is not sweet rather bitter and its for remembrance of wrong doing committed by wife or if she did not do anything wrong and husband feelings are not good towards her - in both cases offering has to be made to let them remember that they have fellowship with God which demands purity in relationship of husband and wife- God gave a mechanism that how to approve or disapprove the feeling of jealously - it has to be addressed for a healthy relationship for future
Let God give us wisdom to understand his word and apply it in our lives
