The Nazirite
The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If a man or woman wants to make a special vow, a vow of dedication to the Lord as a Nazirite, 3 they must abstain from wine and other fermented drink and must not drink vinegar made from wine or other fermented drink. They must not drink grape juice or eat grapes or raisins. 4 As long as they remain under their Nazirite vow, they must not eat anything that comes from the grapevine, not even the seeds or skins.
(1)پِھر خُداوند نے مُوسیٰ سے کہا کہ۔
(2)بنی اِسرائیل سے کہہ کہ جب کوئی مَرد یا عَورت نذیر کی مَنّت یعنی اپنے آپ کو خُداوند کے لِئے الگ رکھنے کی خاص مَنّت مانے۔
(3)تو وہ مَے اور شراب سے پرہیز کرے اور مَے کا یا شراب کا سِرکہ نہ پِئے اور نہ انگُور کا رس پِئے اور نہ تازہ یا خُشک انگُور کھائے۔
(4)اور اپنی نذارت کے تمام ایّام میں بِیج سے لے کر چِھلکے تک جو کُچھ انگُور کے درخت میں پَیدا ہو اُسے نہ کھائے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses tell Israelite that if a man or woman set them apart for Lord by taking a vow - it should be shown that they are keeping them away from worldly pleasures - they are not supposed to drink wine or anything made of grapes or fermented drinks as long as they are under oath -
Let God give us wisdom to understand his word and help us to apply it in our lives
