Numbers 6 ; verse 22-27
The Priestly Blessing
22 The Lord said to Moses, 23 “Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:
24 “‘“The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”’ 27 “So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.”
(22)اور خُداوند نے مُوسیٰ سے کہا کہ۔
(23)ہارُون اور اُس کے بیٹوں سے کہہ کہ تُم بنی اِسرائیل کو اِس طرح دُعا دِیا کرنا ۔ تُم اُن سے کہنا۔
(24)خُداوند تُجھے برکت دے اور تُجھے محفُوظ رکھّے۔
(25)خُداوند اپنا چہرہ تُجھ پر جلوہ گر فرمائے اور تُجھ پر مِہربان رہے۔
(26)خُداوند اپنا چہرہ تیری طرف مُتوجِّہ کرے اور تُجھے سلامتی بخشے۔
(27)اِس طرح وہ میرے نام کو بنی اِسرائیل پر رکھّیں اور مَیں اُن کو برکت بخشُوں گا۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses tell Aaron and his sons that they have to bless them by using my name - So priests are required to bless people by using God's name because its only God who blesses his people and protect them and be gracious towards them and look upon them with favor. Its God who shows care and mercy towards his people and given them peace - so we should try to be his people to have God's blessings
Let God give us wisdom to understand his word and help us to apply it in our lives
