Numbers 8 ; verse 15- 19
The Setting Apart of the Levites
15 “After you have purified the Levites and presented them as a wave offering, they are to come to do their work at the tent of meeting. 16 They are the Israelites who are to be given wholly to me. I have taken them as my own in place of the firstborn, the first male offspring from every Israelite woman. 17 Every firstborn male in Israel, whether human or animal, is mine. When I struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, I set them apart for myself. 18 And I have taken the Levites in place of all the firstborn sons in Israel. 19 From among all the Israelites, I have given the Levites as gifts to Aaron and his sons to do the work at the tent of meeting on behalf of the Israelites and to make atonement for them so that no plague will strike the Israelites when they go near the sanctuary.”
(15)اِس کے بعد لاوی خَیمۂِ اِجتماع کی خِدمت کے لِئے اندر آیا کریں ۔ سو تُو اُن کو پاک کر اور ہِلانے کی قُربانی کے لِئے اُن کو گُذران۔
(16)اِس لِئے کہ وہ سب کے سب بنی اِسرائیل میں سے مُجھے بِالکُل دے دِئے گئے ہیں کیونکہ مَیں نے اِن ہی کو اُن سبھوں کے بدلے جو اِسرائیلِیوں میں پہلوٹھی کے بچّے ہیں اپنے واسطے لے لِیا ہے۔
(17)اِس لِئے کہ بنی اِسرائیل کے سب پہلوٹھے کیا اِنسان کیا حَیوان میرے ہیں ۔ مَیں نے جِس دِن مُلکِ مِصر کے پہلوٹھوں کو مارا اُسی دِن اُن کو اپنے لِئے مُقدّس کِیا۔
(18)اور بنی اِسرائیل کے سب پہلوٹھوں کے بدلے مَیں نے لاوِیوں کو لے لِیا ہے۔
(19)اور مَیں نے بنی اِسرائیل میں سے لاوِیوں کو لے کر اُن کو ہارُون اور اُس کے بیٹوں کو عطا کِیا ہے تاکہ وہ خَیمۂِ اِجتماع میں بنی اِسرائیل کی جگہ خِدمت کریں اور بنی اِسرائیل کے لِئے کفّارہ دِیا کریں تاکہ جب بنی اِسرائیل مَقدِس کے نزدِیک آئیں تو اُن میں کوئی وبا نہ پَھیلے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses to take Levites from tribe of Israel and dedicate them to the Lord - Nation is offering Levites as a portion dedicate to God fully - God took Levites against the first born of Israelites and Levites has been give to Aaron (priest) to perform the work of tabernacle - So Levites are on service of God's house and make atonement for entire nation.
So dedication towards the Lord is start of practical work in the way God want us to do
Our God is pure and holy and want us to live a holy life
Let God give us wisdom to understand his word and help us to apply it in our lives
