Numbers 14 ; verse 26-35
The People Rebel
26 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron: 27 “How long will this wicked community grumble against me? I have heard the complaints of these grumbling Israelites. 28 So tell them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very thing I heard you say: 29 In this wilderness your bodies will fall—every one of you twenty years old or more who was counted in the census and who has grumbled against me. 30 Not one of you will enter the land I swore with uplifted hand to make your home, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun. 31 As for your children that you said would be taken as plunder, I will bring them in to enjoy the land you have rejected. 32 But as for you, your bodies will fall in this wilderness. 33 Your children will be shepherds here for forty years, suffering for your unfaithfulness, until the last of your bodies lies in the wilderness. 34 For forty years—one year for each of the forty days you explored the land—you will suffer for your sins and know what it is like to have me against you.’ 35 I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will surely do these things to this whole wicked community, which has banded together against me. They will meet their end in this wilderness; here they will die.”
خُداوند لوگوں کو بُڑبُڑانے کی سزا دیتا ہے
26اور خُداوند نے مُوسیٰؔ اور ہارُونؔ سے کہا۔ 27مَیں کب تک اِس خبِیث گُروہ کی جو میری شِکایت کرتی رہتی ہے برداشت کرُوں؟ بنی اِسرائیل جو میرے برخِلاف شِکایتیں کرتے رہتے ہیں مَیں نے وہ سب شِکایتیں سُنی ہیں۔ 28سو تُم اُن سے کہہ دو خُداوند کہتا ہے مُجھے اپنی حیات کی قَسم ہے کہ جَیسا تُم نے میرے سُنتے کہا ہے مَیں تُم سے ضرُور وَیسا ہی کرُوں گا۔ 29تُمہاری لاشیں اِسی بیابان میں پڑی رہیں گی اور تُمہاری ساری تعداد میں سے یعنی بِیس برس سے لے کر اُس سے اُوپر اُوپر کی عُمر کے تُم سب جِتنے گِنے گئے اور مُجھ پر شِکایت کرتے رہے۔ 30اِن میں سے کوئی اُس مُلک میں جِس کی بابت مَیں نے قَسم کھائی تھی کہ تُم کو وہاں بساؤُں گا جانے نہ پائے گا سِوا یفُنّہؔ کے بیٹے کالِبؔ اور نُونؔ کے بیٹے یشُوعؔ کے۔ 31اور تُمہارے بال بچّے جِن کی بابت تُم نے یہ کہا کہ وہ تو لُوٹ کا مال ٹھہریں گے اُن کو مَیں وہاں پُہنچاؤُں گا اور جِس مُلک کو تُم نے حقِیر جانا وہ اُس کی حقِیقت پہچانیں گے۔ 32اور تُمہارا یہ حال ہو گا کہ تُمہاری لاشیں اِسی بیابان میں پڑی رہیں گی۔ 33اور تُمہارے لڑکے بالے چالِیس برس تک بیابان میں آوارہ پِھرتے اور تُمہاری زِناکارِیوں کا پَھل پاتے رہیں گے جب تک کہ تُمہاری لاشیں بیابان میں گل نہ جائیں۔ 34اُن چالِیس دِنوں کے حِساب سے جِن میں تُم اُس مُلک کا حال دریافت کرتے رہے تھے۔ اب دِن پِیچھے ایک ایک برس یعنی چالِیس برس تک تُم اپنے گُناہوں کا پَھل پاتے رہو گے۔ تب تُم میرے مُخالِف ہو جانے کو سمجھو گے۔ 35مَیں خُداوند یہ کہہ چُکا ہُوں کہ مَیں اِس پُوری خبِیث گروہ سے جو میری مُخالفت پر مُتّفِق ہے قطعی اَیسا ہی کرُوں گا۔ اِن کا خاتِمہ اِسی بیابان میں ہو گا اور وہ یہِیں مَریں گے۔
My point of view about above verses
When some people from Israelites including Joshua and Caleb explore the land of Canaan and report back that the people of land is very strong – except Joshua and Caleb – then the Israelites grumbled against God and Moses and Aaron – Then glory of Lord appeared at the tent of meeting and God said how long these people deal me with contempt and how long they refuse to believe me. I will strike them with plague and destroy them and make you into a great and stronger nation than they are
Moses asked God to forgive the sins of people as you pardon them several times they left from Egypt. God told him that I forgave them just as you asked but no one who disobeyed will ever see the land I promised to their ancestors.
As God got angry with Israelites & He told Moses & Aaron that none of them except their children whom they said will be plunder for other nations and Caleb and Joshua will enter in that land. Your children will be shepherds here for forty years because of your unfaithfulness until the last of your bodies lies in wilderness. You will suffer and know what is like to against me. They will die in wilderness
God gets angry if we keep testing him - We need to trust Him and then miracles happens - Trust God in all circumstances as whatever he does is good for us, opposing God means destruction so live blissfully we need to obey Him - however He does not punish children for the sins of their forefathers
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
