Supplementary Offerings
The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘After you enter the land I am giving you as a home 3 and you present to the Lord food offerings from the herd or the flock, as an aroma pleasing to the Lord—whether burnt offerings or sacrifices, for special vows or freewill offerings or festival offerings— 4 then the person who brings an offering shall present to the Lord a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of olive oil. 5 With each lamb for the burnt offering or the sacrifice, prepare a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering.
1اور خُداوند نے مُوسیٰ ؔسے کہا۔ 2بنی اِسرائیل سے کہہ جب تُم اپنے رہنے کے مُلک میں جو مَیں تُم کو دیتا ہُوں پُہنچو۔ 3اور خُداوند کے حضُور آتِشِین قُربانی یعنی سوختنی قُربانی یا خاص مَنّت کا ذبِیحہ یا رضا کی قُربانی گُذرانو یا اپنی مُعیّن عِیدوں میں راحت انگیز خُوشبُو کے طَور پر خُداوند کے حضُور گائے بَیل یا بھیڑ بکری چڑھاؤ۔ 4تو جو شخص اپنا چڑھاوا لائے وہ خُداوند کے حضُور نذر کی قُربانی کے طَور پر اَیفہ کے دسویں حِصّہ کے برابر مَیدہ جِس میں چَوتھائی ہِین کے برابر تیل مِلا ہُؤا ہو۔ 5اور تپاون کے طَور پر چَوتھائی ہِین کے برابر مَے بھی لائے۔ تُو اپنی سوختنی قُربانی یا اپنے ذبِیحہ کے ہر برّہ کے ساتھ اِتنا ہی تیّار کِیا کرنا۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses that when you have entered the land & you present food offerings to the Lord bring grain offering of the finest flour a tenth of an ephah (4 ltr/ kg) mixed with a quarter of hin of olive oil (1.25 lts) with each lamb for burnt offering - & quarter of hin of wine as drink offering.
Ephah is an ancient Hebrew dry measure equivalent to the bath (of about 40 litres or 9 gallons).
Hin is a Hebrew unit of liquid capacity equal to approximately 5 litres (about one gallon).
God is so specific about little details, we need to be too
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
