Numbers 15 ; verse 8-12

Supplementary Offerings

8 “‘When you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice, for a special vow or a fellowship offering to the Lord, 9 bring with the bull a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with half a hin of olive oil, 10 and also bring half a hin of wine as a drink offering. This will be a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord. 11 Each bull or ram, each lamb or young goat, is to be prepared in this manner. 12 Do this for each one, for as many as you prepare

My point of view about above verses

God told Moses that when you have entered the land & you present food offerings to the Lord bring grain offering of the finest flour three tenth of an ephah (4 ltr/ kg) mixed with a half of hin of olive oil (1.25 lts) and a half of hin of wine with a young bull for burnt offering - Offering is an aroma pleasing to the Lord

  1. Ephah is an ancient Hebrew dry measure equivalent to the bath (of about 40 litres or 9 gallons).

  2. Hin is a Hebrew unit of liquid capacity equal to approximately 5 litres (about one gallon).

God is so specific about little details, we need to be too

Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
