Numbers 17 ; verse 6-12
The Budding of Aaron’s Staff
So Moses spoke to the Israelites, and their leaders gave him twelve staffs, one for the leader of each of their ancestral tribes, and Aaron’s staff was among them. 7 Moses placed the staffs before the Lord in the tent of the covenant law.
8 The next day Moses entered the tent and saw that Aaron’s staff, which represented the tribe of Levi, had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds. 9 Then Moses brought out all the staffs from the Lord’s presence to all the Israelites. They looked at them, and each of the leaders took his own staff.
10 The Lord said to Moses, “Put back Aaron’s staff in front of the ark of the covenant law, to be kept as a sign to the rebellious. This will put an end to their grumbling against me, so that they will not die.” 11 Moses did just as the Lord commanded him.
Lord told Moses put back Aaron’s sprouted staff in front of the ark of covenant law as sign of rebellion. And this will also stop Israelites grumbling against me so that they will not die
12 The Israelites said to Moses, “We will die! We are lost, we are all lost! 13 Anyone who even comes near the tabernacle of the Lord will die. Are we all going to die?”
6 اس لئے موسیٰ نے بنی اسرائیلیوں سے باتیں کیں ہر قائد نے اُسے ایک چھڑی دی۔ ساری چھڑیوں کی تعداد ۱۲ تھی۔ ہر ایک خاندانی قائد کے گروہ کی ایک چھڑی اُس میں تھی۔ ہارون کی چھڑی اس میں تھی
7 موسیٰ نے گواہ کے خیمہٴ اجتماع میں خدا وند کے سامنے چھڑیوں کو رکھا۔
8 اگلے دن موسیٰ خیمہ میں داخل ہوا اُس نے دیکھا کہ ہارون کی وہ چھڑی جو لاوی نسل کی تھی ایک ایسی تھی جس سے نئی شاخیں اُگنی شروع ہوئی تھیں۔ اُس چھڑی میں کلیاں، پھول اور بادام بھی لگ گئے تھے۔ 9 اس لئے موسیٰ خدا وند کی جگہ سے تمام چھڑ یوں کو لایا موسیٰ نے بنی اسرائیلیوں کو چھڑیاں دکھائیں اُن سب نے چھڑیوں کو دیکھا اور ہر ایک مرد نے اپنی چھڑی واپس لی۔
10 تب خدا وند نے موسیٰ سے کہا ، “ہارون کی چھڑی کو خیمہ میں معاہدے کے صندوق کے سامنے رکھ دو۔ یہ اُن لوگوں کے لئے انتباہ ہوگی جو ہمیشہ میرے خلاف جاتے ہیں۔ یہ میرے خلاف اس کی شکایتوں کو روکے گا۔ اس طرح وہ نہیں مریں گے۔ 11 موسیٰ نے ان احکامات کی تعمیل کی جو خدا وند نے دیئے تھے۔
12 بنی اسرائیلیوں نے موسیٰ سے کہا ، “ ہم جانتے ہیں کہ ہم مریں گے ہمیں تباہ ہونا ہی ہے۔ 13 جو کوئی بھی خدا وند کے مقدس خیمہ کے نزدیک جاتا ہے ضرور مر جاتا ہے۔ کیا ہم سب لوگ فنا ہوجائیں گے۔”
My point of view about above verses
When all Israelites assembled together to grumble against Moses and Aaron
God told Moses take staffs from each tribe & write their names on it- on the staff of Levi write Aaron’s name- place them in front of ark of covenant law- the staff belonging to chosen man will sprout and this will stop constant grumbling of Israelites against you and Aaron
So Aaron's staff not only sprouted but also budded and had almonds in it - was a sign that priesthood belongs to tribe of Levi
So when God selects some persons to do certain duties - and inform us through his priests / prophets and different signs as Aaron staff sprouted then we need to accept it as its always for our good and blessings from God
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
