Numbers 18 ; verse 25-29
Offerings for Priests and Levites
25 The Lord said to Moses, 26 “Speak to the Levites and say to them: ‘When you receive from the Israelites the tithe I give you as your inheritance, you must present a tenth of that tithe as the Lord’s offering. 27 Your offering will be reckoned to you as grain from the threshing floor or juice from the winepress. 28 In this way you also will present an offering to the Lord from all the tithes you receive from the Israelites. From these tithes you must give the Lord’s portion to Aaron the priest. 29 You must present as the Lord’s portion the best and holiest part of everything given to you.’
25 خداوند نے موسیٰ سے کہا ، 26 “لا وی نسل کے لوگوں سے بات کرو اور اُن سے کہو : بنی اسرائیل اپنی ہر ایک چیز کا دسواں حصّہ خداوند کو دیں گے۔ وہ دسواں حصّہ لا وی نسلوں کا مورو ثی حصّہ ہو گا۔لیکن تمہیں اُس دسویں حصّے کا دسواں حصّہ خداوند کو پیش کرنا چا ہئے۔ 27 اور تمہا ر ا یہ نذرانہ ایسا ہی سمجھا جا ئیگا جیسا کہ تم نے کھلیان سے اناج کا نذرانہ اور مئے کی کو لہو سے مئے کا نذرانہ پیش کیا تھا۔ 28 اس طرح تم خداوند کو ویسے ہی نذر دو گے جس طرح اسرا ئیل کے دوسرے لوگ دیتے ہیں۔ تم بنی اسرائیلیوں کا دیا ہوا دسواں حصّہ حا صل کرو گے۔ اور تب تم اس کا دسواں حصّہ کا ہن ہا رون کو دوگے۔ 29 جب بنی اسرا ئیل اپنی ہر ایک چیز کا دسواں حصّہ دیں تو تمہیں اُ ن میں سے اچھا اور پا کیزہ حصّہ چُننا ہو گا وہی دسواں حصّہ ہے جسے تمہیں خداوند کو دینا چا ہئے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Aaron that you will have no inheritance and any share as – I am your share and your inheritance among Israelites. God gave Levities all the tithes of Israelites which they offered to God, in return for the work they perform at tent of meeting. No other Israelites has to go near the tent of meeting or they will die. Levites have to do the work at tent of meeting and bear the responsibility for any offence they commit against it. They have no inheritance among Israelites only tithes are their share.
God told Moses when Levities get tithes from Israelites they must give one tenth of that to Aaron the priest – This is Lord’s share – You must give to Lord the best and holiest part of everything given to Levities
How wonderful is for priests that God is their share as their inheritance - Let they be faithful to God to be worthy of this inheritance -
Thus all offerings to Lord belongs to Priests and their family members , this is arrangement of living made by God for priests and their families so that they can serve whole- heartedly to Him - we need to give our offerings to priests to obey God
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
