Numbers 19 ; verse 17-21
The Water of Cleansing
17 “For the unclean person, put some ashes from the burned purification offering into a jar and pour fresh water over them. 18 Then a man who is ceremonially clean is to take some hyssop, dip it in the water and sprinkle the tent and all the furnishings and the people who were there. He must also sprinkle anyone who has touched a human bone or a grave or anyone who has been killed or anyone who has died a natural death. 19 The man who is clean is to sprinkle those who are unclean on the third and seventh days, and on the seventh day he is to purify them. Those who are being cleansed must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and that evening they will be clean. 20 But if those who are unclean do not purify themselves, they must be cut off from the community, because they have defiled the sanctuary of the Lord. The water of cleansing has not been sprinkled on them, and they are unclean. 21 This is a lasting ordinance for them.
17 “اس لئے تمہیں جلا ئی ہو ئی گا ئے کی راکھ اس آدمی کے پاک کرنے کیلئے دوبارہ استعمال کرنی چا ہئے۔ بہتا ہوا پانی برتن میں رکھی ہو ئی راکھ پر ڈا لو۔ 18 پاک آدمی کو ایک زوفا کی شاخ لینی چا ہئے اور اسے پانی میں ڈبونی چا ہئے۔ تب اسے خیمہ پر برتنوں پر اور خیمہ میں جو آدمی ہیں ان پر یہ پانی چھڑکنا چاہئے۔ تمہیں یہ اُن سبھی آدمیوں کے ساتھ کرنا چا ہئے جو لاش کو چھو ئیں گے۔ تمہیں یہ اس کے ساتھ بھی کرنا چا ہئے جو جنگ میں مرے آدمی کی لاش کو چھو تا ہے۔ یا ان میں سے کسی کے ساتھ جو کسی مرے ہو ئے آدمی کی ہڈیاں یا قبر کو چھو تا ہے۔
19 “تب کو ئی پاک آدمی اس پانی کو ناپاک آدمی پر تیسرے دن اور پھر ساتویں دن چھڑکے۔ ساتویں دن وہ آدمی پاک ہو جاتا ہے۔ اسے اپنے کپڑوں کو پانی سے دھونا چا ہئے۔ وہ شام کے وقت پاک ہو جا تا ہے۔
20 “اگر کو ئی آدمی ناپاک ہو جا تا ہے اور اپنے آپ کو پاک نہیں کرتا ہے تو اسے بنی اسرائیلیوں سے الگ کر دیا جا ئے گا کیو نکہ اس آدمی پر وہ خاص پانی نہیں چھڑکا گیا۔ اس طرح کا ناپاک آدمی مقدس خیمہ کو ناپاک کرسکتا ہے۔ 21 یہ اُصول تمہا رے لئے ہمیشہ رہیں گے۔ جو آدمی اس خاص پانی کو چھڑکتا ہے۔اسے بھی اپنے کپڑے ضرور دھو لینے چا ہئے۔ کو ئی آدمی جو اس خاص پانی کو چھو ئے گا وہ شام تک ناپاک رہیگا۔ 22 اگر کو ئی ناپاک آدمی کسی چیزکو چھو ئے تو وہ بھی ناپاک ہو جا ئے گا۔ اور کو ئی چیز یا کو ئی آدمی اس کو چھو تا ہے تو وہ شام تک ناپاک رہے گا۔”
My point of view about above verses
If a person dies in a tent – anyone who enters the tent and anyone who is in it will be unclean for seven days and any open container without a lid will be unclean,
A person who is in open and touches someone who dies a natural death or been killed or touches a human bone of dead person or a grave will be unclean for seven days
To purify unclean person, put some ashes from burned heifer whose ashes are stored in a jar and pour fresh water on him. A clean man has to take some hyssop, dip it in water and sprinkle the tent and all the furnishings and the people who were there. He must sprinkle anyone who touches a person who dies of natural death or killed or touch a human bone or grave. The man who is clean has to sprinkle those who are unclean on 3rd and 7th day to purify them. Those who are being cleansed must wash their clothes and bathe with water and that evening they will be clean. But if those who are unclean and does not purify themselves – must be cut off from Israelites community as they have defiled the sanctuary of Lord. This is lasting ordinance for them
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
