Numbers 20 ; verse 8- 12
8 “Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink.”
9 So Moses took the staff from the Lord’s presence, just as he commanded him. 10 He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them, “Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?” 11 Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.
12 But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.”
8 “اپنے بھا ئی ہا رون اور لوگوں کے مجمع کو ساتھ لو اور اُس چٹان تک جا ؤ اپنی چھڑی کو بھی لو۔ لوگوں کے سامنے چٹان سے بات کرو تب چٹان سے پانی بہے گا اور تم وہ پانی اپنے لوگوں اور جا نوروں کو دے سکتے ہو۔”
9 چھڑی خداوند کے مقدس خیمہ میں تھی۔ موسیٰ نے خداوند کے کہنے کے مطابق چھڑی لی۔ 10 تب اس نے اور ہا رون نے لوگوں کو چٹان کے سامنے جمع کیا۔ تب موسیٰ نے کہا، “تم لوگ ہمیشہ شکا یت کرتے ہو اب میری بات سُنو۔کہا ہم اس چٹان سے تمہا رے لئے پانی بہا ئینگے۔” 11 موسیٰ نے اپنی چھڑی اٹھا ئی اور چٹان پر دو مرتبہ چھڑی سے مارا۔ چٹان سے پانی سے بہنے لگا۔ تمام لوگوں اور جانوروں نے پانی پیا۔ 12 لیکن خداوند نے موسیٰ اور ہا رون سے کہا ، “تم نے مجھ پر یقین نہیں کیا اور بنی اسرائیلیوں کے موجود گی میں مجھے عزت نہیں بخشی ، اس لئے تم ان لوگوں کو اس ملک میں نہیں لے جا پا ؤگے جسے میں انہیں دینے کا وعدہ کیا ہوں۔ تم نے لوگوں کو یہ نہیں بتا یا کہ تم نے مجھ پر بھروسہ کیا میں ان لوگوں کو وہ ملک دوں گا جسے میں نے دینے کا وعدہ کیا ہے۔ لیکن تم اس ملک میں ان کو پہونچانے وا لے نہیں ہو گے۔”
My point of view about above verses
God became angry with Aaron and Moses as he told them to speak to the rock instead He struck the rock and they didn't praise God and didn't trust him and honor him as holy in the sight of Israelites – so he told them you will not bring this community into the land I gave them
We need to obey God exactly as He wants us and should not put our own insight into matters He handling himself for us
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
